Going Green For The October House Of Cards...

Welcome to the October House of Cards challenge! This month we are asking you to make a gatefold card and/or use these luscious green colors.

October 2016 Gatefold Cards and or colors

I have to be honest – I hate multi fold cards! This stems from a bad (read: couldn’t figure it out) folding experience years ago at my stamp club. It was horrible and I suffered nightmares for weeks. LOL! Of course not, but it pretty much put paid to me ever wanting to make a multi fold card. For me, making a multi fold card is like seeing Sasquatch in the wild. It can happen but it will be a rare occurrence!

So I stuck with the green colors instead and made a single fold card! I started with the multi-layer moon stamp that I stamped using multi colors of green. I made some flags using two solid greens and some pattern paper.

I adhered the flags, added the sentiment and popped the moon up on the card base. I added a few stars and I was done.

It’s your turn! Go forth and produce many multi-layer cards and link them up HERE! Have a great rest of the weekend! Thanks for stopping by and I will see you Monday!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. SU! mint macaron and emerald envy. Lawn Fawn Christmas plaid. Inks: Memento black. SU! mint macaron and emerald envy. Stamps: Altenew to the moon. Other: SU! enamel stars.

LOL....your folding experience sounds similar to one I had at a workshop once...not folds, but another "engineering" fail...I was so embarrassed! Anyway, I LOOOOOVE these colors, and this is a new challenge to me! I must play! Your card is very sweet even without a fancy fold!

i love this clean and simple card using the colours from our challenge - my favourite, green! haha, sounds like a card i made at a workshop too; i had to stay behind so teacher could help me fix it since all the folds were backward and wouldn't work! i never repeated that complex fold card.

Oh, dear! I'm so sorry to hear about your folding experience--I have had similar experiences, too! ;) No matter, though, because this card is GORGEOUS! I LOVE the CAS feel and the beautiful layered moon! Swoon!!! Sending HUGS! :) Mynn xx

I LOVE your card, Jane! These colors are terrific! I thought I was the ONLY crafter in the universe who dreaded and feared gateway cards! They ALWAYS look unbalanced to me, no matter how carefully I measure and score! So, I just LOVE your fun moon card! I can't believe you made this with a stamp - -it looks AMAZING! Great for Earth Day cards too! Love everything about it!
Take care!
