December 2017

Welcome to a new As You See It Challenge!  Since we are just about to the New Year, our theme is sparkle!  And what could be more sparkly than glitter?  Glitter…the gift that keeps on giving!

#166 12.29.17

I started by using some Bermuda Bay glitter paper and die cutting a hat. And now I officially have glitter everywhere on my table! aysi 166 1 (563x640)

I die cut a scalloped panel and ran it and the card base thru my linen impression plate.  I added the sentiment and then attached the glitter hat.  A cute white fuzzy ball added some dimension and kept the die cut from looking like a mailbox – lol! aysi 166 2 (640x469)

I popped the panel up on the card base and was done!  Be sure to join us!  Link up your sparkles HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Leaves For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It and it’s a gorgeous sketch!

#165 12.15.17

I opted to use autumn leaves but in a Christmas style twist.  I used the Concord & 9th layering leaves and die cut them in mossy meadow, cherry cobbler, and old olive.  I die cut each one three times for added dimension and then adhered them together. aysi 165 1 (555x640)

I used some nice wintery paper and cut a couple of rectangles.  I layered everything together and finished off the card with a sweet sentiment and some dots and rhinestones.  I am quite tickled with how this card turned out! aysi 165 2 (640x428)

Retro Rubber Challenge #77...

Welcome to the last Retro Rubber Challenge of 2017!  It’s a color inspiration challenge just in time for the holiday season.

I went with clean and simple and opted to use the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch. rrcb 77 1 (640x483)

I stamped the tree from the PTI Layered Postmarks: Holiday (from 2012) in spring moss with the script in ripe avocado. rrcb 77 2 (640x594)

I added the sentiment and then ran the card thru the linen impression plate.  I actually set out to make a layered card with an old truck and some trees.  That ended up in the garbage.  Sometimes the card in my mind is not what it is in reality!  LOL!

Retro AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  Join us for this fun color challenge!

#164 12.1.17

I started with a couple of brush trees in pool party and flirty flamingo.  These colors gave me a retro vibe so I had to add a few fifties style stars to make that retro look happen! aysi 164 1 (537x640)

I added the sentiment in pacific point and a few rhinestones and enamel dots.  A CAS card that would be easy to reproduce for all of your favorite friends and family! aysi 164 2 (640x500)

Dec Blog Hop Inspiration

You may be just starting the blog hop or have come from Heather’s Blog.

I started by using this fun digi tree from one of our sponsors - Digistamps4Joy.  I focused on the gorgeous silver and gold in the inspiration photo.  So using my colored pencils, I made a gold and silver tree with a touch of red and yellow. HOC Dec 1 (485x640)

I fussy cut the image and then popped it up on silver paper and added the sentiment.  Then, because I couldn't resist, I chose gold as my card base.  All sorts of shimmery paper! HOC Dec 2 (640x499)
