Retro Rubber Challenge #77...

Welcome to the last Retro Rubber Challenge of 2017!  It’s a color inspiration challenge just in time for the holiday season.

I went with clean and simple and opted to use the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch. rrcb 77 1 (640x483)

I stamped the tree from the PTI Layered Postmarks: Holiday (from 2012) in spring moss with the script in ripe avocado. rrcb 77 2 (640x594)

I added the sentiment and then ran the card thru the linen impression plate.  I actually set out to make a layered card with an old truck and some trees.  That ended up in the garbage.  Sometimes the card in my mind is not what it is in reality!  LOL!

I fussy cut the image and then popped it up on silver paper and added the sentiment.  Then, because I couldn't resist, I chose gold as my card base.  All sorts of shimmery paper! HOC Dec 2 (640x499)

Retro Rubber Challenge #76...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s Anything Goes!

I opted to go with a Christmas theme and dug out this cute nutcracker stamp from Simon Says Stamp’s Retro Christmas (2015).  I colored him in with colored pencils and then die cut the image. rrcb 76 1 (501x640)

I added the sentiment (I do like to do sideways sentiments) and a bit of twine and a few dots.  A strip of striped paper backed with some old olive was the final touch before I layered everything on an early espresso card base. rrcb 76 2 (640x477)

My card is super CAS by using a few random damask images in Christmas colors on the card. cc 1 (546x640)

November House Of Cards...

It’s a new month and a new challenge at House of Cards!  Make a holiday card and/or use the colors in the challenge image and you will be all set!

Nov holiday and or colors

I started with a card base of sahara sand and added a mini scalloped layer of soft stone.  Although it basically looks white in the photo.  (sigh) HOC nov 1 (538x640)

I stamped a wintery type flower in red and green, added a sentiment and die cut using my mini stitched circles die. HOC nov 2 (640x539)

After that I added some red ribbon and layered everything together.

Singing Trees For Brown Sugar...

It’s time for a new Brown Sugar Challenge! Our theme is to use red, white and green on your projects. Our sponsor for this challenge is Melonheadz. They have some great digi images so be sure to go check them out!

I used these cute trees. I liked the idea of singing trees so I made a small chorus and added a tree with a sentiment and one with some lights! bsc 12.16 1 (590x640)

It’s like they showed up at your doorstep to sing a few carols and decorate your house! bsc 12.16 2 (640x427)

Be sure to play along and link up your cards HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! As I mentioned the other day, with the holidays upon us, my posting will be minimal for the next few weeks.

Supplies: CS: SU! white. Stamps: Melonheadz Christmas Trees.

Retro Rubber Challenge #53 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge so I whipped up a clean and simple card using colors inspired by the challenge.

I die cut three hour glass dies in white, real red and garden green. All three colors had been run thru the linen impression plate first. rrcb 53 3 (571x640)

I attached the white die to a crumbcake base and then added three red flags and three green flags. A sentiment finishes off the card. rrcb 53 4 (640x406)

There’s still time to play so be sure to link up your card HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! I will be back Friday!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. SU! real red, garden green, and crumbcake. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. SSS full card hourglass. Stamps: PTI snowflake flurries.

Merry Copper Trees...

Today’s card was made using the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

I started with a couple of trees die cut from copper foil. Before I cut the images, I ran the foil through a pine embossing folder to give the trees some texture. cts 1 (522x640)

I stamped a sentiment on the cream linen and then die cut it using a mini stitched scallop rectangle. Clean and simple! cts 2 (640x433)

Thanks for stopping by today! Due to the holidays and my busy schedule, I plan on posting a couple of times next week and then will be off for the holidays with minimal posting until the beginning of January. I had hoped to keep my usual posting schedule but I just have too much to do! I am sure you can relate!

Supplies: CS: PTI vintage cream linen. SU! copper foil. Dies: PB tall trees. MFT mini scallop stitched rectangles. Stamps: MFT hand lettered holiday.

Retro Rubber Challenge #53...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! This is our last one for 2016! I can’t believe the year is almost over! This challenge is a color inspiration based on the picture in the challenge image.

I used a palette of cream and white with just a smidge of red and green thrown in. I started with some white texture paste and a snowfall stencil. I added the paste to the cream cardstock that I had run thru the linen impression plate and cut down a bit to go on the white card base. rrcb 53 1 (575x640)

I stamped the sentiment (circa 2015) and then added a die cut set of holly leaves and berries on the edge. Finally, I popped the sentiment up over the card front. I love the simplicity of the card with all that neutral and small pop of color. rrcb 53 2 (640x463)

It’s your turn! Be sure to play along and link up your card HERE!

I am entering this card in the current Paper Players challenge – snowflakes.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: PTI white and vanilla. SU! real red and garden green. Stamps: PTI Christmas cheer. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. SSS falling snow stencil. RC north pole wishes.
