Paper Dolls...

Happy Monday! We are supposed to get more cold and snow. So I guess we are getting six more weeks of winter! Good thing I have my crafting to get me thru! Today’s card is for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started with some die cuts of paper dolls – girls, boys, and boys and girls. I die cut them in different colors and then adhered to the card front.

I added a sentiment and was done! Pretty clean and simple!

Kindred Spirits...

I have a fun one layer card for you today! And quite by accident, it happens to fit the Paper Players challenge of a CAS card with flowers.

I stamped this sweet image and used my colored pencils and some chalk to showcase the image.

I used a sentiment from a different stamp set because I love the saying and thought it perfectly described two creatures that shouldn’t be friends but are! Just like real life!

You've Got A Friend In Me...

Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. And it allowed me to use my brand new super cute stamp set from SU! I have also been singing the song “you’ve got a friend in me” from Toy Story ever since I created this card! So don’t be surprised if you start singing it too!

I started by stamping the image on white and then coloring with my pencils and adding a bit of chalk around the image.

Then I backed the image with a piece of poppy parade and some plaid paper before adhering to a card base of white. A trip thru the linen impression plate completed the card.

Cherish Friendship...

I think my colored pencils are going to be a permanent fixture on my craft table. I seem to be using them more and more as of late! And today is no exception.

I stamped my image and then colored it in. I added a bit of blue chalk around the image and a little gray chalk on the floor. The chalk is fairly dark when you view the card in real life and after I took my photos, it hardly shows up!

I die cut a curved edge on the white cardstock and then did the same to the pattern paper I added underneath. After I popped up the front on the base, I added the sentiment. The sentiment comes from the SU! mixed drinks stamp set. And although it was intended to pair with the drink images, I think the saying is appropriate any time!

Supplies: CS: SU! white, so saffron, and cupcakes and carousels. Stamps: SU! cherish friendship and mixed drinks. Other: Colored pencils. Chalks. PTI linen impression plate. SSS curved edge die.

Thank You For Being A Friend...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am playing along with two challenges – The Paper Players (color) and Sunday Stamps (sketch).

I started with my new SU! bookcase builder stamp set and created three shelves. Then I added one item on each shelf in riding hood red.

I debated about a sentiment and decided to tuck it in between the bookshelves. I also ended up using a bit of red pencil on the images to darken them up a bit.   Clean and simple!

Joy Of The Journey...

Happy Thursday! I used a sentiment that I was given last year for my birthday.  The sentiment is beautiful – it truly expresses how I feel about my best friends. So I opted to let it shine on its own.

Then I did a bit (OK a lot!!) of splattering with some of my favorite colors and finished off with a few enamel dots.

Hello all! I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge today and whipped up a cute card to send off to a friend of mine.

I started by stamping a measuring tape and then adding some measuring tape washi next to it.

Next I added a “quilting” square and then stamped the sentiment half on and half off the square. Finally I ran the card through my linen impression plate.

Retro Rubber Challenge #45 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge! Come and play along with us using this great sketch!

RRCB 45

I opted to use some newer stamps for my card this week. I recently received my Stampin’ Up order and I stocked up with a bunch of holiday goodies as well as some items from the current catalog. If you like what you see, feel free to click on the “need supplies” button in the right hand column and shop away!

I used the SU! live, love, grow stamp set to stamp some succulents in blues and greens which work perfectly with the Sunday Stamps color challenge. Then I added a bit of blue chalk behind the plants and die cut with a stitched arch. I added a bit of striped paper and some rhinestones and enamel stars.

Besties...

Welcome to a new challenge for As You See It! We have another lovely sketch for you and I will be excited to see what you do with it!

#140 Jul 29 2016

I decided to play a bit with watercoloring so I stamped this flower image on watercolor paper and then added a bit of water to move the ink around. Then I did a bit of splattering over the image.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 140 1 (583x640)

I found some coordinating paper and put everything together according to the sketch. I couldn’t resist the fun sentiment and a bit of bling.

A Journey of Friendship...

Today I am playing along with the Fab Friday sketch challenge. I opted to use a color scheme of pink, white and gold.

I started with this delightful stamp that I received for my birthday this past year. I love the sentiment so much! I just can’t believe it has taken me this long to use it! But I digress – I heat embossed it in gold and then die cut using a stitched vertical strip.

Www.seejanestamp.com ff 1 (540x640)

I also die cut the flag out of this beautiful gingham and the stitched circle out of the gold speckled vellum. I punched and layered the pink flowers using the SU! blossom bunch punch.
