Retro Rubber Challenge #61...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! Just use buttons on your card and a stamp older than a year and you are good to go!

RRCB 61

I started with my PTI Fancy Footworks stamp set from 2013. This was a stamp set that I had to have when it came out because I loved the dance steps.  So I stamped the “her” steps in harvest gold and the “his” steps in blueberry sky. I ran the card front and the card base thru the linen impression plate as well.

I stamped the sentiment and cut out using my washi tape die. I also die cut a couple more washi tapes in yellow and blue so I could layer them up.

I layered the front over some crushed curry and then put everything together on a base of midnight muse. Be sure to play along with us and link up HERE!

I am entering this card in the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

A huge thank you to Nance at Paper Players for selecting THIS card as A Cut Above!

On a personal note, my life outside of card making (not that we like to admit we have one *wink*) has gotten a bit more hectic than I expected so I am rolling back the number of posts that I typically do each week. I hope to post 2-3 times a week but it may be down to once a week for a while. Thank you for understanding!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

You Drive Me Wild...

Happy Monday! Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge(sketch) and The Paper Players (CAS vehicle theme) Challenge.

I started by stamping a car and this fun sentiment on white. I used my colored pencils on the car and light beams before die cutting the stitched angle.

Fun vehicle themed paper adds additional interest under the white card front. I think this may be one of my favorite cards as I just love the paper and the sentiment.

Love For House Of Cards...

Welcome to the February challenge at House of Cards! Our challenge this month is to make a card with a love theme, use the colors in the challenge image, or both!

  February Love theme or colors

I ended up with a card that did both. I die cut a white heart and then added a few smaller hearts to it.

After I adhered the heart to the card, I decided to add a few more hearts. I was afraid I wouldn’t stop! LOL!

Retro Rubber Challenge #55...

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber! We have a theme challenge for you that is all heart! Just use hearts on your card and at least one stamp older than a year and you are good to go!

RRCB 55

I started with a stamp set from Papertrey Ink from 2013. And I have owned it since then! I stamped love and is all you need on white cardstock.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 55 1 (640x557)

Then I die cut a string of hearts several times and adhered together before attaching to the card.

It’s your turn! Add a few hearts to a card and link it up HERE!

Cherish Friendship...

I think my colored pencils are going to be a permanent fixture on my craft table. I seem to be using them more and more as of late! And today is no exception.

Www.seejanestamp.com 7 (532x640)

I stamped my image and then colored it in. I added a bit of blue chalk around the image and a little gray chalk on the floor. The chalk is fairly dark when you view the card in real life and after I took my photos, it hardly shows up!

Www.seejanestamp.com 8 (640x545)

I die cut a curved edge on the white cardstock and then did the same to the pattern paper I added underneath. After I popped up the front on the base, I added the sentiment. The sentiment comes from the SU! mixed drinks stamp set. And although it was intended to pair with the drink images, I think the saying is appropriate any time!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop by tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: SU! white, so saffron, and cupcakes and carousels. Stamps: SU! cherish friendship and mixed drinks. Other: Colored pencils. Chalks. PTI linen impression plate. SSS curved edge die.

The Cats Whiskers For Brown Sugar...

Welcome to a new Brown Sugar Challenge! This week our sponsor is All Dressed Up and the theme is Anything Goes!

2015 all dressed up stamps

I used this sweet cat image to create a simple black and white card with just a pop of color!  I used my colored pencils to fill in the hearts and ribbon and added a bit of grey on the cat. Which, of course, did not translate well in my photo!

Www.seejanestamp.com bsc 231 1 (562x640)

I die cut the image with the stamped edge die and then popped it up over some black and white polka dots on a white base!

Retro Rubber Challenge #44...

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber! We have a color challenge this time – with two of my favorite colors – lime and aqua blue!

RRCB 44

I started by watercoloring lime and aqua stripes on some paper and then made a couple of lime watercolored squares on some scrap watercolor paper.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 44 3 (547x640)

I die cut two pears from the lime paper and added to the card front after die cutting it with a stitched rectangle. I added my sentiment (from my Wplus9 punny produce stamp set circa 2014) and then some candy dots and mini rhinestones.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 44 4 (640x422)

I layered everything according to the sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

It’s your turn – bust out your creativity and make a card with lime, aqua and a neutral and then link it up HERE!

Supplies: CS: SU! crumbcake. Watercolor paper. Stamps/Dies: Wplus9 punny produce pears. Inks: salty ocean and twisted citron distress inks. Dies: MFT blueprint 20. Other: SU! candy dots. Mini rhinestones.

All You Need Is Love...

Today I am playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. Another fun sketch to try to come up with a card to do it justice!

This card ended up being super CAS and easy to put together. I stamped the background spots in pink pirouette, blocking out a little white space to put the couple.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (578x640)

Then I stamped the couple and added the little hearts. Of course I had to run the card thru my linen impression plate to finish it off.

Supplies: CS: PTI white. Inks: SU! pink pirouette. Memento black. Dies: SU! confetti heart punch. PTI linen impression plate. Stamps: SU! gorgeous grunge. Lil Inkers it’s today, right? and of the heart sentiments.

Scripts...

Today’s card was made for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and the Card Concept challenge (clean and layered).

Www.seejanestamp.com cts cc 1 (557x640)

As I was trying to figure out what to make, I found that it was the Card Concept challenge that inspired me for both challenges. When I saw the challenge image, the script in the image drew my eye. That made me think of my script paper and that lead to the die cuts of Mark Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet from the PTI Simply Jane stamp set.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts cc 2 (640x372)

I started by cutting a rectangle in the card front and then adding the script paper. I also die cut my images three times and stacked them together for some depth. I added the sentiment, layered everything and was done.

That’s it for today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: PTI vanilla and dearest Jane. SU! chocolate chip. Stamps/Dies: PTI simply Jane. PTI linen impression plate.
