Stitched Thoughtfulness...

It’s Wednesday and I am playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

It’s a fun sketch so I used my stitching lines to make some lines in the card base after adding a sentiment.

A Blueish Thank You...

I recently received an unexpected gift that not only surprised me but really made my day. Don’t you love unexpected surprises?

So I whipped up a simple thank you using this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

I die cut the wheat in PTI Hawaiian shores and the outline in aqua mist. I also ran the card front thru the linen impression plate and added some ink splatters.

I adhered the wheat, added the sentiment and put the card together.

Note Of Thanks...

Back before we had problems with the As You See It challenge website, I had made up this card for the sketch challenge which we currently have going. So I thought I would post it for today!

#141 1.13.17

I started by die cutting pierced fishtail, a pierced rectangle and a mini scallop stitched rectangle out of coordinating papers. Then I stamped the flower image on the white square and layered everything together.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut the washi tape shape, popped it up over the other papers and added a button to finish everything off.

Thank You For Being A Friend...

Happy Wednesday! Today I am playing along with two challenges – The Paper Players (color) and Sunday Stamps (sketch).

I started with my new SU! bookcase builder stamp set and created three shelves. Then I added one item on each shelf in riding hood red.

I debated about a sentiment and decided to tuck it in between the bookshelves. I also ended up using a bit of red pencil on the images to darken them up a bit.   Clean and simple!

A Poinsettia Thank You...

I never mind making thank you cards and here’s why: I think it is pretty wonderful that someone took time out of their day to do something for you, give something to you, or just be there for you. That is a pretty awesome in my book.  And in the spirit of that thought, I had to whip up some cards for gifts that I recently received over the holiday season.

Www.seejanestamp.com 3 (567x640)

I used a poinsettia stamp with a black outline and pink pirouette inside. I used markers to fill in the center and add a bit of dimension with a darker pink. I added the sentiment and was done.

Sunflowers...

I have been seeing beautiful sunflowers all over town and that inspired me to dig out a sunflower stamp and see what I could do with it.  I heat embossed the image in black on watercolor paper. And using distress inks, watercolored the image.

Www.seejanestamp.com 9 (548x640)

I cut down the paper and backed it with a piece of crushed curry and then adhered to a kraft base. The sentiment was chosen based on its length as I planned to stamp it up the side of the image and wanted something that would balance well.
