I am not sure, but I think this may be my favorite valentine this year – well tied with THIS card (which was a Pals Paper Arts challenge winner!). I love my argyle stamp set but largely ignore it – for shame! But when I got it out for another card – click HERE to see that one – I have been thinking about how to use it for a valentine card.
First I ran the blushing bride CS thru my trusty PTI linen impression plate. Then I stamped the argyle pattern with black ink and white embossed the lines on the CS. I just love this color combo! I repeated the process on white CS and die cut the word love. I also die cut five loves out of blushing bride so I could stack them together.
I wanted the word to stand out yet blend in with the argyle pattern. And I was pleased with the overall look – I think it tricks the eye a bit and causes you to do a double take. I added the blushing bride roses from the artesian embellishment kit from SU! and a sentiment from PTI.
I hope you like this card as much as I do! The photo really does not do it justice! These grey cloudy days make it tough to get a good photo!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow, I have one final valentine to show off!
