Welcome!
A Great Day!

Happy Birthday!

Good day!  Occasionally we get to celebrate a birthday that is a milestone.  Sweet 16, 21, 30, 40, 50 etc.  My mom recently turned 80.  She didn't mind the birthday, just the number!  I, however, think it is awesome and was happy to celebrate it with her.  I recently had one of those milestones too.  In my family, we have several 30 year people.  My mom is 30 years older than me and I am 30 years older than my nephew.  If you can do math, you just figured out my age!  My brother is 30 years older than my other nephew.  Mom didn't want a birthday party.  Instead we had a 30 year party.  My nephew, mom and I went out to dinner.  One of the wiseacres that my nephew calls a friend, asked if I understood that I was always 30 years older than him.  That cracked me up!  Kids!  Here we go.....

I made this card for my mom.  I loved how the dies all worked together and then struggled with the numbers.  Not exactly how I envisioned but I liked it when it was done.  Most importantly, so did she!

I used Papertrey Ink paper for this card as well as their tipped tops dies and birthday die.  The button and twine were from my stash.  I can't remember where I got the cork but used an alpha die set from SU! (a retired set, I believe).

Thanks for stopping by!
