Witch Hazel...
September 25, 2014
I loved Bugs Bunny when I was growing up. We really did have the greatest cartoons in the good old days. I have to admit that even to this day, if I see the old Bugs Bunny and Wiley Coyote cartoons I have to stop and watch a bit. A guilty pleasure! My opening comment leads up to this: the first time I saw the freaky friends stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I thought of Witch Hazel from Bugs Bunny when I saw the witch.
I will wait while you think about that.
I am right, aren’t I? I can still hear her cackle as she chased after Bugs Bunny. So I am honoring Witch Hazel today with her own card! I am playing along with Retro Sketches to help make her shine. When I saw the sketch originally, I had a hard time picturing what I would do. And then it hit me. The right side of the card makes a perfect cave. So I embossed some scary looking eyes on black and sent some fussy cut bats out of the cave to startle Witch Hazel. Then I added a googly eye to make Hazel’s eye look bugged out. All in all, I think Witch Hazel looks pretty cute and maybe only a smidge startled.
Thanks for stopping by today!
