Birthday wishes for my bro...

My brother celebrated his birthday Saturday.  Did I have his card made?  No.  Did I have his present? No.  With my crazy schedule over the last couple of weeks, I failed to complete either of these tasks!  Not a very good sister!  But I spent a little time in the craft cave yesterday and got his birthday card done.  Now I just need to get his present!

I am playing along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch.  The sketch and image went together perfectly.  I stamped the image in memento black and colored with my blendies.  I have had this image for years and bought it specifically for my brother.  He is an avid hunter and it is hunting season!  This card I made for him last year.  He really liked it so I am hoping he likes his card this year!

I added texture with the woodgrain embossing folder, the grass die and distressed edges.  I thought the white was too stark so I used brown chalk to dirty up the paper and quite like the effect.  A button and twine and I was done.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:  CS:  SU! crumbcake, old olive, PTI white, DSP from my stash.  Ink:  memento black.  Dies/EF:  Lawn fawn grass die and SU! woodgrain EF. Stamps:  PTI keep it simple birthday and stamp from my stash.  Other:  SU! blendies, chalk, button and twine.
