Today I am playing along with the Friday Mashup challenge. It is all about weather! Recently we have had snow, below zero weather, a warm up to 40 degrees, and wind. I decided to go with a fallish (yep, I am using that word again!) card about leaves. The wind is blowing down the rest of the leaves that are still on the trees and the snow has melted away and now you can see all of the leaves that never got raked up this fall!
I decided to use four strips of color CS and glued them to a solid piece of cardstock. Then I versamarked the leaves from the SU! Wonderfall stamp set and clear embossed them. I really love how these images turned out! The down side of this effort is the paper became wavy from the heat of the heat gun. But I am kind of liking that! I used a Lil Inker stitched rectangle to trim out the cardstock. I heat embossed (with clear) the sentiment and added some linen thread and a semi metal button.
I think I am going to give this a try with snowflakes or some other Christmas images. In the meantime I will enjoy the earthiness of the images and colors I chose to work with and I hope you do too!
Thanks for stopping by!
