Mighty bloom...
November 26, 2014
I am so ready for some turkey! How bout you? I am winding down my Thanksgiving cards with my last card tomorrow. After that, it will be time for Christmas!
I die cut a template from some extra cardboard using the PTI mighty bloom die. I tinted three blobs (my technical term!) of embossing paste with SU! reinkers – hello honey, mossy meadow, and tangelo twist. I slathered on the mossy meadow, then did a few leaves in the tangelo twist and finished up with the hello honey. I smeared the hello honey over all the leaves. When I removed the template, the leaves all looked pretty yellow. But once everything dried, the colors lightened.
I finished the card by heat embossing a sentiment in crushed curry on a vellum belly band. A few sequins and I was done. If you haven’t tried embossing paste, you should. It is easy to use and to manipulate thru die cuts. Plus, it’s just fun!
