Retro Rubber Challenge #9...

It’s time for a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  Yay!  Today it is all about tags!  Tag, you’re it!  All you need to do is use stamps older than a year and make a tag or a card with a tag on it!  Easy, peasy right?

I am a wino, so I needed to make a wine tag, of course.  I started by looking for a stamp to use and came across this sentiment from a Mickey Mouse stamp set that I have had for ages.  I thought it quite appropriate!  After all, your dreams can come true!  With a great bottle of wine!  My chums gave me a fantastic bottle for my birthday.  It is not the one featured in the pic.  It was a bottle from a great winery in Hood River, Oregon called The Pines 1852.  Yum!

Sorry, I got sidetracked!  I started off with the wine tag die from PTI in real red.  Using my RC tag me die, I die cut a tag in white, crushed curry and basic black.

I stamped the sentiment on the white tag and a scrap of white.  I used my mickey mouse punch to punch in the middle of the sentiment and then popped it up on the white tag.

Hopefully giving you the impression of Mickey’s head leaping out at you.  Or is that only after you have had a couple of glasses?

I added a little bling and some ribbon and twine.  I really like how this turned out.

So get out your mojo and some old stamps, make a tag and join us at Retro Rubber!  You have two weeks to play along!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Absolutely love all the little details! What a great idea to use a punch to add a surprising bit of dimension! Oregon does really well with the wineries, I will have to check the one out in Hood River when we visit again this summer. We were just there a few weeks ago for DS's wrestling regional! LOL

Very cool tag, Jane! I love the brightness of the layers with each other. This will always be appreciated as a gift.

Very clever tag Jane. The surprising part is Mickey Mouse, he totally works and I didn't even realise he was there until I read your post - amazing details! Cx

Love, love, love the bottle tag, Jane! I made several tags during the holiday season all inspired by what you did several months back!! And, yes, wine is my favorite beverage besides cool, clear water (remember that song?)....

Such a clever idea!

This is so fun! I love the sentiment, especially with the Micky punch...I didn't even know there WAS a Micky Mouse punch! Clever idea to make the tag! Thanks for having me as a GD this week, too! Hugs,
LeAnne
