Retro Rubber Challenge #11...
Hello There Pals Paper Arts...

Lemons and lemonade...

I am all over the clean and simple this week!  Today’s card is another entry into that category!  And it’s a good thing that I am all over CAS because that is two of the challenges that I am entering this card!  I am taking advantage of the Addicted to CAS (cute) theme challenge and the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

I started off by using a background stamp of netting that I have had forever!  I am not even sure where/when I picked this up.  (I remember stuff like that – cripes – no wonder my brain gets tired!)  I used memento rich cocoa ink that I stamped off once before applying to the card.

But then the fun started.  I have had this cute stamp and die set from PTI called “A Bowl of Sunshine” for a while.  I have never used it before and decided today was the day.  The trouble began when I stamped the fruit and the bowl together and discovered that is not how the die is set up.  You need to stamp the fruit and bowl separately so they can be die cut separately.  So I restamped them.  Then I tried to die cut and I was off center.  So I die cut the bowl and fruit first – then stamped on the cut out pieces.  This only took about four times!  Practice makes perfect?  Not in this case, the lemons were still a bit askew but I decided that would add to the charm of the card! (No foolin'!  See how I worked April Fools Day into this post?)

I opted to use pink for the bowl and give it a fifties vibe!  I popped up the bowl and fruit and centered on the netting.  Then I stamped the sentiment and I was done.

A fun cute card!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

I would like to add that my Easter Daffys card (see it HERE) was picked as a Perfect Princess for Freshly Made Sketches yesterday.  Thank you to those fine ladies at FMS!

Hey…don’t forget about the Retro Rubber challenge – it’s a sketch – now go…stamp…linkup!

Supplies:  CS:  PTI white and rustic white.  Inks:  SU! pink pirouette and daffodil delight.  Memento rich cocoa.  Stamps/dies:  PTI a bowl of sunshine.

I didn't even notice that your lemons were askew...some of the PTI stamps/dies can be tricky and I guess this is one of them :) Love the bold yellow with the pastel pink bowl, and your netting background is perfect! So happy you're playing along with us this week at ATCAS!

I love lemon stamps so how did I ever miss this one? Your take on it is very pretty and so springy and happy! I never noticed anything wrong with the lemons either! It's hand-made! :)
