Retro Rubber Challenge #15...

Welcome to the Retro Rubber Challenge #15!  This challenge is all about vintage.  I have seen some awesome vintage cards out there.  I, however, cannot make a vintage style card to save my soul!

So although I didn’t add lace – I did manage to get some pearls on there and I chose to use some vintage style stamps that I have had for a while.  I also used some vintage (read: retired) papers from SU!  Is all that vintage enough?  Or should I use the word vintage some more?  Sorry – this head cold makes me think I am funny!

I stamped the image on summer starfruit and then layered it up with some other retired paper.  I found the patterned paper that had patterns on it and thought it would pair well with my image.  Overall, I quite like this card and hope you do too!

I am playing along with the Paper Players sketch – otherwise I am not sure how I would have put this together!

Now, it’s your turn – let’s see how you do with this challenge!  Dig out your old stamps and make a vintage card!  You can click HERE to link up!

A huge thank you to CAS(E) this Sketch for choosing THIS card as a favorite!  And a huge thank you to Sunday Stamps for being chosen as a Top Cup for THIS card!  A great honor!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies:  CS:  SU! summer starfruit, primrose petals, gumball green and print poetry dsp.  Stamps:  Pink Persimmon Misses’ Apron and Classic Pattern.  Other:  Memento black and pearls.

Jane, your post made me giggle!! So your cold meds are not responsible for "funny", LOL. I have used the word vintage several times in lieu of retired... got that from Justin. It just sounds better, doesn't it?

Love the card and all of its details. The dress images remind me of sewing patterns. I still have some of that sweet designer paper and pearls will give anything a vintage feel.... Well done!

What a beautiful card, Jane! You had me laughing at your vintage comments…I think you totally CAN do vintage style beautifully. Vintage cards are tough for me as well….ok, now I’m saying vintage a lot, too. Lol! The pearls are the perfect touch. Thank you so much for playing along with my sketch this week at The Paper Players! :)
