July Pals Blog Hop...

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July.  This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 - 2017 Stampin' Up! In Colors, namely, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. The In Color products include card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and other embellishments.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from the lovely Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie, number 27 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Today I am sharing my love of three of the new in colors!  I absolutely adore Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, and Delightful (or delicious as I like to call it!) Dijon!  These colors pair nicely together and could work for any type of card!  Can you imagine a Christmas card using these colors?  Beautiful!

I am happily taking advantage of three things, a sketch I recently saw that I adored, the awesome Awesomely Artistic stamp set and the sentiments from the Cottage Greetings stamp set (love these fonts!!).  I started off with the splotchy stamp from the Awesomely Artistic set and with the help of versamark, made a pattern from corner to corner on the Mint Macaron.  Then I glued the mint panel to the base layer of tip top taupe.

Using the new thicker whisper white, I stamped the ferns and dragonfly using second generation stamping (in other words – I inked the stamp and stamped off once on scratch paper before applying to the whisper white).  I added the birthday greeting in tip top taupe ink to finish off the image for the card.  With my circle framelits, I die cut the white and a piece of delicious! Dijon, offsetting the circles and cutting off one side of the circle.  I took advantage of the new gold metallic thread to make some loops to surround the circles.  Then it was just a matter of popping the circles up on the card base and adding some pearls.  It was that easy!

The next stop is the delightful Katy McGloin at Just Fun Stamping, number 2 on the Pals Blog Hop!  Thanks for visiting; I hope to see you on next month’s Pals Hop!

My favorite stamp set in the catalog...Awesomely Artistic. And I love the gold thread. I think it's such a great embellishment. Great job!

Jane, we may not have the same style in cards, but our color choices are dead on! Wow! I love your card and how you made it so airy and light! You always make it look easy but it definitely isn't. Beautiful!!

Awesome card for the Awesomely Artistic! Love the subdued imagery behind the sentiment and the metallic thread placement is yet again "awesome"... already pinned!!
