Retro Rubber Challenge #26...

It’s time for a new challenge at Retro Rubber! This time it is a sketch and if you love sketches like me, then you will want to join us!

I kept this one in the Halloween theme with these fun pumpkins. I have had this stamp for six or seven years and used my distress markers to color and a bit of soft sky ink for the sky. rrcb 26 1 (640x533)

I added this bit of patterned paper behind the image, although as I write this, I am not sure what possessed me to use this color when NOTHING else on my card has this color – but I did it anyway! And it works I think! rrcb 26 2 (640x539)

It was just a matter of adding a few buttons and I was done! Be sure to join us – pull out some older stamps (over a year old) and get to creating! Link up your card HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: SU! crumbcake, motley monsters dsp and white. Other: Stamp and buttons from stash. SU! linen thread. Distress markers.

Those cutie patootie pumpkins - so adorable! I love this card! Did you find out what possessed you yet?? You need to because that should be bottled up and sold! You know why? I kept trying to visualize another "coordinating" DSP there and it would not have looked as good. I am always trying to match stuff up and you have totally shown that bringing in an unexpected element can take a card to a new level. And the fact that you did it without even knowing why, that's TALENT! Thanks for a great lesson with a cute Halloween card today!

What a fun set of pumpkins! Great job with the distress markers, just the right touch of colors. I think the choice of patterned paper really works as well!

LOL, Jane... these smiling pumpkins are scrumptious. And I totally agree with Debbie's comments about use of unexpected color... pure genius! Now to pin this to remember.... :)

Terrific card Jane! The pumpkins are so cute and I love the buttons with the twine. I agree, I totally think the patterned paper works.
