Sledding...

Happy Monday! Did you have a great weekend and stuff yourself with turkey (if you were in the US)? I managed to get the house clean, the tree up and a bit of crafting in. So a great long weekend it was!

Today’s card uses both a sketch (Freshly Made Sketches) and a color (Color Throwdown) challenge. I started by stamping the base of the sled in chocolate chip ink and added the rest of the sled in tangelo twist.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on some island indigo and then added to the card front in accordance with the sketch. I added some candy dots, pearls, and rhinestones and was done.

These were unusual colors (challenge – brown, orange and blue) to use for a Christmas card but I like to use nontraditional colors on occasion for a fresh prospective!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow! Tomorrow starts week two of the current Retro Rubber challenge – Anything Goes! So be sure to link up HERE if you have a card that fits the challenge (must use a stamp older than a year). Tomorrow is also the start of the new House of Cards challenge and blog hop!

Trees...

Welcome to a new As You See It Challenge! This week it is all about color! Three colors specifically – Bermuda bay, mossy meadow and real red! (Or use colors similar to these.)

#114 Nov 27 15

I started off by sponging some Bermuda bay on white cardstock and then added the trees (mossy meadow) in first, second, and third generation stamping.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 114 1 (549x640)

I added a bit of Bermuda bay to ground the trees and transition to the real red, which I had ran through the on point embossing folder. (Although I am not sure you can see that very well.) I also used that bit of cardstock to stamp my sentiment.

Nuts About You...

Yay! It’s Wednesday! Turkey day tomorrow and no work for the rest of the week! I love it!

Today’s card is one that we made at a recent card club.

Www.seejanestamp.com 1 (640x543)

We started off by stamping and punching acorns. I use the term “we” loosely.  The demo had a bunch already done so a few of us took advantage of that and nabbed some acorns for our cards. We stamped the leaf and then used a variety of inks to sponge on the paper to make it look fallish.

A piece of burlap and thread and I was done.

Thanks for stopping by today! Stop by tomorrow if you can manage it after stuffing yourself with turkey!

Dotty Thanks...

Welcome to the new Retro Rubber challenge! This challenge is anything goes – so anything goes! Just make sure to use a stamp over one year old!

RRCB 28

Today’s card is very CAS and fits with the Friday Mashup challenge as well.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrbc fm 1 (511x640)

I cut a piece of SU! happy haunting dsp at an angle and then added a border from tangelo twist. I stamped the sentiment (from a stamp I bought somewhere) on very vanilla and then backed it with another piece of tangelo twist. I layered everything up on a piece of soft suede cardstock.

A few rhinestones and that was it! Now, it is your turn! Be sure to play along with the Retro Rubber Challenge and link up HERE!

Giving Thanks...

Can you believe we are almost to the end of November? I say that every month and the time just keeps going faster! Oh well!

Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches and Fab Friday challenges. I opted to use some SU! farmers market dsp and back it with blackberry bliss. I added the “giving thanks” die cut made out of Cajun craze and hello honey with a few pearls around it.

And finally, the very vanilla subtle stripes ribbon is so gorgeous that I couldn’t resist adding it to the card.

Sleigh Rides...

Today starts a new As You See It Challenge! Yay! It’s a fun sketch challenge that should give you plenty of inspiration!

#113 Nov 20 15

I started with the SU! sleigh ride edgelits. I grabbed a piece of Christmas dsp and die cut a couple of inches from the bottom of the paper. Then I die cut a slim piece of gumball green to layer on top of the dsp.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 113 1 (545x640)

I added this very appropriate sentiment and then ran the card thru my linen impression plate. I added a bit of bling just for a bit of sparkle!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 113 2 (640x422)

I love how bold this green and white look together! Now it’s your turn! Join us and link up your card HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! I am off for the weekend so I will see you on Monday!

Supplies: SU! gumball green and be of good cheer dsp. Dies: SU! sleigh ride edgelits. PTI linen impression plate. Stamps: PTI in the meadow. Other: Rhinestones.

Red, Vanilla, and Green...

I am a bit scattered this week! I was going to post a fall card today instead of the Christmas card I planned. And I have changed my mind yet again! So I am back to the Christmas card!

Www.seejanestamp.com fc 1 (526x640)

This is a super simple card – a quick sentiment and some patterned paper. I am playing along with the sketch from the Fusion Card Challenge.

Www.seejanestamp.com fc 2 (640x424)

I grabbed some of this fun Christmas paper and my double edge scallop die and set to work. A quick die cut on both pieces and then I attached to the card base.  I added the sentiment and the enamel dots and was finished. A fun and easy card to mass produce if you needed to!

Thanks for stopping in today! Tomorrow starts a new As You See It Challenge!

Supplies: CS: SU! very vanilla and be of good cheer dsp. Inks: SU! cherry cobbler. Dies: Reverse Confetti wonky double edge scallop die. PTI linen impression plate. Stamps: PTI keep it simple Seasons Greeting. Other: SU! Home for Christmas enamel dots.

A Fall Thank You...

Today I am playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. This is the second time I did a card for this challenge as I didn’t care for the first one (which was a Christmas card). So I changed things up and am posting a few more fall cards before I turn my attention to Christmas.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (563x640)

I recently celebrated my birthday so I needed to make some thank you cards for all the wonderful things that I received. I felt spoiled! So I opted to make a fall thank you card! Using one of my favorite sets – French foliage.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 2 (640x521)

I stamped the images in Cajun craze, crushed curry, always artichoke and threw in a bit of perfect plum for good measure. I added my embossed thank you and a few candy dots and pearls. I love how this came together!

Www.seejanestamp.com wine (477x640)

I couldn’t resist showing this great wine glass that I received from my niece Macy and her family (that is how she signed the card – which she made!). I think this was a perfect gift for me!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: SU! basic black. PTI rustic white. Stamps: SU! French foliage and express yourself. Inks: SU! Cajun craze, crushed curry, always artichoke, perfect plum and versamark. Other: white embossing powder. SU! candy dots and pearls.
