Sledding...

Happy Monday! Did you have a great weekend and stuff yourself with turkey (if you were in the US)? I managed to get the house clean, the tree up and a bit of crafting in. So a great long weekend it was!

Today’s card uses both a sketch (Freshly Made Sketches) and a color (Color Throwdown) challenge. I started by stamping the base of the sled in chocolate chip ink and added the rest of the sled in tangelo twist.

The sentiment was white heat embossed on some island indigo and then added to the card front in accordance with the sketch. I added some candy dots, pearls, and rhinestones and was done.

These were unusual colors (challenge – brown, orange and blue) to use for a Christmas card but I like to use nontraditional colors on occasion for a fresh prospective!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow! Tomorrow starts week two of the current Retro Rubber challenge – Anything Goes! So be sure to link up HERE if you have a card that fits the challenge (must use a stamp older than a year). Tomorrow is also the start of the new House of Cards challenge and blog hop!

What a great sled stamp! It is shown off so well on your clean card with a few pops of blue. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

I love this sled image and you've reminded me that I haven't used that set yet this season :) Fabulous card! The blue banner really pops off the page. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
