Holiday Break...

Hello all!  Tis the season for a bit of a blogging break!  I am going to take the rest of the year off from scheduled blog posts.  I may pop in and post randomly if crafty time allows. Otherwise, I am going to enjoy this time to work on some other things and enjoy family and friends during this special time of the year!

A very heartfelt thank you to all of you who have stopped in or follow me in my blogging journey! I love this paper crafting gig and am happy to share my creations with you!

I will be back to posting on a regular schedule on January 4, 2016. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!

Holiday Wishes...

Hello all! Welcome to another As You See It Challenge! Today’s challenge is a fun sketch so be sure to play along!

  #117 Dec 18 15

I started by stamping and die cutting this cute light bulb. I added some holly leaves and an enamel dot for the berry.

A strip of mossy meadow cardstock and dsp was adhered underneath the Christmas light. I added some more enamel dots and a couple of rhinestones to finish off the card.

Wonderland Trees...

Today I have a short and sweet post. I wanted to share this card that was in my recent card club swap. My friend Wendy made this and I thought it was gorgeous!

She used the SU! wonderland set and stamped the trees first in green and then white embossed them. A very beautiful effect!

I also like how Wendy used smokey slate as her card base!  I found that to be a bold and perfect choice for this card!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Up On The Housetop...

Today’s fun card was made using the Retro Sketches sketch as inspiration. I love this SU! home for Christmas dsp so I automatically reached for that!

I used different sized punches and made sure that I captured Santa in one punch and a house in another.

Www.seejanestamp.com rs 1 (552x640)

I also used a punch of pool party so that my sentiment could rest on it. I added some pearls, rhinestones and enamel dots for some fun elements.

When I look at this card, I imagine Santa from far away scoping out his next stop. And then I see a close up of him on the roof, giving me a thumbs up! OK – I am feeling whimsical!

Supplies: CS: SU! pool party, real red, very vanilla and Home for Christmas dsp. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. Reverse Confetti winter words dies. Other: SU! enamel dots, pearls and rhinestones.

Retro Rubber Challenge #29 part two...

We have one more week for the Holiday Retro Rubber challenge so be sure to play along! Today’s card isn’t necessarily a holiday card but during this time of year we all wish for peace on earth.

I recently received my Reverse Confetti order that had two items that I thought should be put together for a perfect card! And when I saw the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge – well – I hit the trifecta – sentiment, die and sketch!

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (566x640)

I started by stamping this sentiment from the RC walk by faith stamp set on a piece of white that I ran thru the PTI linen impression plate. Then I die cut the word peace from real red six times and layered them up. Before putting the card together I cut this circle of dots and then layered everything on a base of real red.

This is a very clean and simple card but I love it. Be sure to link up your holiday card to the Retro Rubber challenge HERE!

Supplies: CS: SU! real red. PTI rustic white. Dies: RC winter words die. PTI linen impression plate. MFT stitched dot circle. Stamps: RC walk by faith.

A Wild Christmas...

Happy Monday! I purchased the SU! It’s Wild stamp with the intention of working it into a Christmas card in some way. I actually pictured this stamp in red or green, but the colors changed once I started to plan this card – because I decided to play along with the Fab Friday colors and the Freshly Made Sketches sketch.  Which actually makes no sense because red and green are two of the colors.  But I saw the pool party and had to go with that!

I inked up the it’s wild stamp with SU! pool party ink and stamped it off once so that I ended up with a softer pattern on very vanilla. Then I stamped the sentiment in full strength pool party. I layered this on some real red cardstock and added the scallop on the side.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms ff 1 (546x640)

I cut and layered the dsp on a piece of mossy meadow and then put the card together according to the sketch. I used crumbcake as my card base and then had to add a few enamel dots and rhinestones to finish off the card.

Seeing Santas...

It’s time for a new As You See It Challenge! This week is a theme challenge – Santa Claus!

#116 Dec 11 15

I created a card with lots of Santas! I used this fun dsp and cut it in a square and put a bit of a curve at the top of one corner.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 116 1 (593x640)

I used a piece of real red under the Santas and then added this merry sentiment on a flag. A small piece of ribbon and staple and that is it!

Sketchy Stars...

Today’s card is a quick little ditty that I made up using some Simon Says Stamp card kit goodies.

Www.seejanestamp.com 1 (530x640)

I cut a piece of cardstock and aligned it on the right side of my base layer of SU! sahara sand.  I die cut two sketchy stars out of lost lagoon and watermelon wonder and added them to the card front.

Www.seejanestamp.com 2 (640x368)

I added this fun puffy sticker to get the sentiment on the card. Cute and fun!

Merry Christmas everyone! I wanted to do something that felt a little retro. And this paper definitely fit the bill. I also wanted to create a card that could be easily mass produced for my Christmas cards this year! I covered two thirds of the card front with the dsp and then added a strip of real red to cover the edges and allow the opportunity to add some bling to the card.

Www.seejanestamp.com dec blog hop 1 (532x640)

The tags and labels framelits made the perfect foil for the sentiment. After stamping, I flipped the tag before cutting so that the scalloped edges would be at the bottom of the sentiment. A second tag in real red helps draw your eye to the sentiment as well.  Pearls, rhinestones and candy dots finish off the card.

Retro Rubber Challenge #29...

It’s time for a new challenge at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog! In the spirit of the holidays, this challenge is a holiday theme! Fun!

RRCB 29

I love snowmen! So I knew I had to use a snowman on my card today and picked this fun image from MFT. I stamped him on white and then used my colored pencils to color him in.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 29 1 (542x640)

A bit of soft sky was added to the background and the sentiment to the bottom of the image. I die cut both the image and a piece of vanilla cardstock with the MFT zig zag stitched rectangle dies.
