Rainbows...

Welcome to a new As You See It Challenge! Today we have another fun sketch for you! I found this one difficult – maybe because there were way too many choices! I don’t do well with more than two choices! LOL!

#121 Jan 29 16

I decided to plan my card around the sentiment.  I love this sentiment and thought it would be fun to do a rainbow.  So I die cut the scallops out of a variety of paper.

Then I ran them through the linen impression plate and layered them together.  I added a piece of black to ground the card and some white twine.  A little bling around the sentiment finishes off the card!

Puffy Flowers...

I made today’s card for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I thought this was a fun sketch and thought about a lot of different flowers to use.

In the end, I decided I liked these puffy type flowers and stamped three of those. I am sure there is a name for these type of flowers but since I am not really a gardener, I have no idea what they are called.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (557x640)

I stamped three of them and then colored with my SU! markers. I added a bit of grass and the corner pieces. I decided to distress the paper a bit and added some chocolate chip ink around the edges.

Retro Rubber Challenge #30 part two...

The Retro Rubber sketch challenge is still open so I thought I would make a card to follow the sketch but with new stamps.

RRCB 30

I am loving this new SU! stamp set – Helping Me Grow. I love the flowers, the fonts, the little extras. I stamped the image and then used distress inks to color.

My colors came from the pattern paper that I was going to use as part of the sketch. I added a bit of bling and a candy dot and layered everything up.

Love Is In The Air...

Happy Monday! Today’s card is for the Freshly Made Sketches sketch. I thought it was a fun sketch and found that it was a bit more difficult to come up with something than I thought!

I started by using the heart clouds from the SU! Sky is the Limit stamp set and stamping a couple of them.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (566x640)

Then I die cut love three times and stacked them up. I added the rest of the sentiment and layered everything.

Let's Get Cozy...

Welcome to a new As You See It Challenge! We have a fun sketch for you to try your hand at!

#120 Jan 22 16

I started by running a piece of mint macaron and my card base of tip top taupe thru the linen impression plate. Then I die cut the mint macaron into three stitched rectangles which I glued straight to the card base.

Two Valentine Hearts...

Today’s card is pretty CAS.  I played along with the  Sunday Stamps sketch and the Paper Players valentine theme.

I started by die cutting two sketchy hearts – one in blushing bride cardstock and one in blushing bride glimmer paper. This glimmer paper is beautiful but I am never excited by all the glitter everywhere!

Www.seejanestamp.com ss pp 1 (542x640)

I die cut a curve on some white cardstock and added the sentiment. I adhered everything straight to the card base and was done!

Forever...

Today I am playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. When I started this card I knew two things – one was to use some splatter and the other was to use the SU! First Sight stamp set.

So I stamped the flourish image in pear pizzazz and pink pirouette. Then I added the forever friends stamp over the top. I ran the card front thru my linen impression plate and cut it in to two pieces by using a Lil Inkers border builder die.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (506x640)

Then I remember that I was going to use some splatter – so I added some water to some ink and went to town splattering the card and the table and me! LOL! I added a few rainstones (clear embellishments) and was done.  Although I realized later that my sentiment was not placed in accordance with the sketch!  Oh well!!

Retro Rubber Challenge #30...

It’s time for a new Retro Rubber Challenge! It feels like forever since we have had one and it has only been a month! And it’s a sketch! Yay!

RRCB 30

We have a couple of rule changes – you must state in your blog post the age of your stamp and you can link up to no more than 10 challenges. Pretty minor changes really more like clarifications!

Today’s card is made with a stamp that I love and rarely use. I love dandelions – the stamps only! I hate the real thing – other than when I was a kid and it was fun to blow the seeds everywhere. Like all kids everywhere. And like all parents everywhere – they hated when I did that. I can appreciate that sentiment now!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 30 1 (546x640)

Anyway, I bought this stamp in 2008 (I had to google the date the stamp came out!) and have used it a few times. But when SU! came out with some paper that had dandelions on it, I knew I was going to have to have that paper!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 30 2 (640x400)

I stamped the dandelions and sentiment according to the sketch and added some rainstones. I love this card! Fairly clean and simple – and could be massed produced easily to have a supply of get well cards on hand!

Now it’s your turn! Link up your sketchy creations HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: SU! crushed curry, white, basic black, and wildflower fields dsp. Stamps: Great Impressions dandelions and dandelions sentiment. Inks: SU! crushed curry. Memento black. Other: PTI linen impression plate and rainstones.
