Orange You Glad I Am Thinking Of You...

Hello! Today I am playing along with the Pals Paper Arts challenge. It is a sketch challenge and I played a little fast and loose with it.

PPA-294-Mar31

I started by stamping the image with a distress ink and then misting with water. I then stamped it on watercolor paper and let it dry.

I added the image to a piece of pumpkin pie and then tied some linen thread around it. I adhered to the crumbcake base, added a sentiment, and was done.

Lots Of Lace...

Happy Wednesday! I am always glad to see the middle of the week. Unless I am on vacation – natch! So I am playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge today.

I really love to put white and vanilla together on a card. So I decided to do a panel of white that I ran thru the linen impression plate and then added a piece of lace. I stamped and die cut the bouquet and popped it up on the lace and added the sentiment.

The white panel was added to the vanilla card base after I added a piece of lace to that. Clean, simple, striking. That’s it for today!

Retro Rubber Challenge #35...

Welcome to the new Retro Rubber Challenge! This time we have a challenge everyone loves! Anything goes! And I will say that these always prove hard for me! So I started off with a sketch from the Fab Friday challenge and hoped for the best! LOL!

RRCB 35

I tried a new technique when I made this card. I smooshed some distress ink on my mat, added some water and pounced a piece of watercolor paper in it. I ended up with this background and quite liked it.

I added this sentiment from Verve (released in 2013) and layered everything according to the sketch. Now it’s your turn! Link up your anything goes HERE!

A Bunch Of Flowers...

Hello Monday! I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter! Mine was nice and relaxing with my family! I even got some crafty time in!

Today’s card was made using the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I started by die cutting three wonky stitched squares to use as my backdrop for the flowers. Then I stamped and die cut these fun flowers and popped them up on the squares.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (536x640)

It was just a matter of adding a strip down the side of ombre paper and then adhering the squares according to the sketch. At the last minute, I added the sentiment and was done.

Blessed Easter...

Happy Friday! And welcome to a new As You See It challenge! Today we have another fun sketch for you to try.

#129 Mar 25 16

I opted to stamp five brushstroke images in varying colors and then add some bling to them.

I wanted the word Easter to pop out so I die cut it three times and then glued them together. I also die cut the card front with a stitched rectangle and adhered to the card base.

Be Everything...

Today I am playing along with the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge. I thought this challenge would pair perfectly with a birthday card that I needed to make.

My dear friend Teresa celebrated her birthday last Friday and the card I posted on the 18th is one of two cards that I sent to her. This is the other one!

Www.seejanestamp.com ss 1 (556x640)

I used the sentiments (which describe her perfectly) and placed them according to the sketch. I ran the card front thru the linen impression plate and adhered it to a crumbcake base.

That’s it for today! Be sure to come back tomorrow!

Rainbow Notes...

Today I have a fun little card that I made up for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and the Curtain Call challenge.

I started by stamping all of these music notes in rainbow colors. Then I ran the stamped piece thru the PTI sheet music impression plate. Now, don’t be too shocked that I used an impression plate other than the linen plate!

Www.seejanestamp.com cts cc 1 (580x640)

I added a piece of striped paper behind and then added to the card base, which I also ran thru the sheet music impression plate. At the last minute I decided to add a few candy dots in the rainbow colors as well!

Retro Rubber Challenge #34 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Easter theme challenge so I decided to create something else for the challenge.

RRCB 34

I love this image from Papertrey Ink so I quickly stamped up these daisies and added an Easter sentiment. I layered the card front on crushed curry and then on a base of crumbcake. A few pearls was all it needed to finish it off.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 34 1 (529x640)

Funny thing – I had every intention of stamping and coloring a daffodil for this card but for whatever reason, I grabbed the daisies and didn’t realize until I was finished what I did! I may or may not be losing it! LOL!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 34 2 (640x503)

Be sure to play along and link up HERE!

I am also playing along with The Paper Players clean and simple challenge.  Their challenge is to celebrate spring.  So this may not seem too springy of a card but I just picked up some lovely yellow daisies at the store yesterday so maybe I am not so far off!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. SU! crushed curry and crumbcake. Inks: SU! wild wasabi, crushed curry and sahara sand. Memento black. Stamps: PTI flower favorites. PTI keep it simple Easter. Other: PTI linen impression plate.

A Cork Bunny...

Happy Monday! Today’s card was put together for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by die cutting this cute lil bunny out of cork and then two eggs out of some pattern paper. I opted to go clean and layered by die cutting a couple of stitched rectangles to put the bunny and the eggs on.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms cc 1 (547x640)

I struggled with where to put the sentiment and finally decided on the side. I am probably a bit free and loose with the sketch but I am OK with that.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms cc 2 (640x375)

I would like to say a huge Thank you to the Fab Friday crew for picking THIS card as the Fab Fave last week! Talk about excited – I was!!

Birthdays And Little Things...

Happy Friday! And happy birthday to my dear friend Teresa! This card was made just for her and is already in the mail!

It’s time for a new As You See It challenge and this time it’s a sketch challenge! Love me some sketch challenges!

  #128 Mar 18 16

My friend Patti at Stationery Styles has inspired me to break out my botanical vellum paper and use it on this card. So I die cut a mini scallop stitched rectangle out of it. Then I cut a piece of pink pirouette to layer under the vellum along with a piece of pear pizzazz. I put the pizzazz in the pear by running the bottom of the cardstock thru some stitched dies.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 128 1 (455x640)

I die cut a tag and stamped the flowers in the corner and then added a doubled up butterfly to the tag. I added some ribbon and twine along with the sentiment, layered everything up, and was done!
