Retro Rubber Challenge #35...
March 29, 2016
Welcome to the new Retro Rubber Challenge! This time we have a challenge everyone loves! Anything goes! And I will say that these always prove hard for me! So I started off with a sketch from the Fab Friday challenge and hoped for the best! LOL!
I tried a new technique when I made this card. I smooshed some distress ink on my mat, added some water and pounced a piece of watercolor paper in it. I ended up with this background and quite liked it.
I added this sentiment from Verve (released in 2013) and layered everything according to the sketch. Now it’s your turn! Link up your anything goes HERE!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!
Supplies: CS: Watercolor paper. SU! lost lagoon. Pattern paper from stash. Inks: Distress inks – peacock feathers and antique linen. Memento black. Stamps: Verve Psalm 94:18.

Wonderful card and very interesting technique you used! I will have to try that. Love the DSP layers and the verse is perfect for the card. So pretty!!

Hello Jane: I love the smoosh technique, you can get really awesome designs on your paper that will never look the same. you can change the colors to suit your design.
Your card is so beautiful, gorgeous pattern paper, crisp lines and layout. I love the detail of the staples, I've never used them but I've seen them in cards and they always look great.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria.

I think your smooshing technique worked out perfectly! It created such a lovely soft background for that sentiment. The addition of the floral DSP just tops off a great card! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

Hey Jane, I love the background here, this card is so very you, different format, but still feels quite simple. The floral paper is gorgeous. Cx
