Retro Rubber Challenge #37...

Welcome to the new Retro Rubber Challenge! This time we have a sketch challenge and I love those!

RRCB 37

I made this card for a very dear friend of mine who will be moving away in a few weeks. She and her hubs are off to new jobs and new adventures and it has been a pleasure getting to know them!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 37 3 (562x640)

I started with the SU! What’s Your Type (2014) and made the word good out of the images. Then I used the SU! Back to Basics alpha (2014) and stamped the word bye.  I added some pattern and solid paper according to the sketch, ran everything thru my linen impression plate and then die cut a stitched rectangle before adhering to the lost lagoon card base. Clean and simple!

Thinking Of You For AYSI...

Welcome to the new As You See It Challenge. Today we have a color challenge for you – very vanilla, soft sky, and soft suede. Although these are Stampin’ Up! colors feel free to use whatever you have.

#133 Apr 22 16

I was a bit lost using these colors. And tried a variety of things before finally stamping this flower image in soft sky. Then I used my chevron dies to cut up the image and put back together on a background of soft sky paper.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 133 1 (547x640)

I added the sentiment in soft suede, a few pearls and adhered everything together.

Retro Rubber Challenge #36 part two...

Welcome to the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge – it’s raining! I whipped up today’s card using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and the colors inspired by the Card Concept challenge.

RRCB 36

I die cut this fun rainbow in very nontraditional colors – watermelon wonder, blushing bride and cucumber crush. I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and then added the rainbow and a couple of clouds.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 36 3 (562x640)

I added the blue striped paper which I thought was perfect for water or sky and then layered everything on vanilla linen paper. I really loved the colors in the Card Concept inspiration photo and thought what I put together worked.

Happy Fishes...

Welcome to a new challenge at As You Can See It! Today’s challenge is a sketch challenge! Yay!

#132 Apr 15 16

I started by clear embossing the coral (not sure if that is what you call it!) on a piece of pool party. I topped it with a piece of white on which I created some scalloped edges.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 132 1 (547x640)

I stamped the fish on crumbcake in crumbcake ink and then fussy cut out. I added a sentiment and some twine and then put it all together.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 132 2 (640x392)

If you look really hard in this picture, you will see the seahorse that I stamped in the coral. It’s hiding from the big mean fish! LOL!

Coral Tulips...

Hello! I just couldn’t resist making a quick flowery card for today. So I dug out my PTI bitty bouquet stamps and set to work.

Www.seejanestamp.com 41416 1 (541x640)

I stamped the stem in garden green and the tulips in calypso coral. Then I added some pool party accent flowers.

Www.seejanestamp.com 41416 2 (640x348)

I die cut both pieces of the card using my zig zag rectangles and then popped it up on the crumbcake base. A simple sentiment finishes the card off.

A Quilt Made Of Banners...

Welcome to Wednesday! Today’s card was made for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and the Fab Friday color challenge (pool party, so saffron, and calypso coral).

Www.seejanestamp.com cts ff 1 (537x640)

I really wanted to come up with something super clever for the sketch but I just kept coming back to using my sketchy banner die and layering three die cuts. I chose some paper that kind of reminded me of material that you would put together to make a quilt.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts ff 2 (640x467)

I quickly die cut the banners and adhered them to the card base. I added the sentiment and some candy dots and I was done. Super clean but I think this is my favorite card of the week!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: PTI white, polka dot parade and monthly moments. SU! pool party. Stamps: SU! pedal pusher. Dies: SSS sketchy banner. PTI linen impression plate. Other: SU! candy dots.

Retro Rubber Challenge #36...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! We have a theme challenge for you and it’s all about water. Just use water themes on your card or do some watercoloring and you are in!

RRCB 36

I used my favorite little umbrella die for this challenge and some sunny colors. I die cut the umbrella in crumbcake and some polka dot paper and did a little paper piecing. Then I made a puddle out of marina mist to stage the umbrella and the sentiment.  I have had both the stamps and dies for a couple of years now.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 36 1 (571x640)

I die cut a small stitched cloud out of soft stone and a small stitched sun to peak out behind it. I layered the card front on a piece of crushed curry and then onto the crumbcake base.

Give Thanks...

Happy Monday! Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and for the Card Concept (clean and layered) inspiration challenge.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms cc 1 (640x529)

I started by stamping off the palm frond twice before stamping on the card front. Then I added the sentiment in full strength ink. I added a piece of black on one side and the pattern paper on the other.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms cc 2 (640x327)

I ran everything thru the linen impression plate (natch!) and layered everything on the card base. At the last minute I remembered I needed something in the upper right side so I added the candy dots.

I had just finished the first run of this card when I discovered red ink on my hand that I had smeared all over the card! So I did a quick redo and that is what you see here.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow for a new Retro Rubber Challenge!

Supplies: SU! very vanilla, basic black and modern medley dsp. Inks: Memento black. Stamps: SU! awesomely artistic. Verve scripture medley 3. Dies: PTI linen impression plate.

An Amazing Rainbow...

Welcome to a new As You See It Challenge! Today’s challenge is an assortment challenge – which means you have to use everything listed on your card.

#131 Apr 8 16

I decided to make a rainbow out of all of my assortments. So I stamped various types of splatter, added a piece of washi and the diagonal. Which was the perfect way to add the sentiment!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 131 1 (561x640)

I die cut numerous sized stars and as I was debating about which size to use, I decided it would be fun to stack them all up.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 131 2 (640x352)

Now it’s your turn – try this challenge out and see what you can come up with! Link up HERE!

I am entering this card in the Sunday Stamps rainbow challenge as well!

Thanks for stopping by today! I am off for the weekend and will see you on Monday!

Supplies: SU! white, marina mist and garden green. Stamps: SU! perpetual calendar. SSS sketchy banner greetings. Dies: PTI small sketched stars. Inks: SU! real red, pumpkin pie, crushed curry. White embossing powder. SU! washi.

Friends And Flowers...

So I recently bought the SU! garden in bloom stamp set. And I cannot believe I waited so long to buy it! It has some nice fonts and images that can make your cards look like you spent hours watercoloring them!

And I thought today would be a great day to show the card I made with this stamp set. I am using the colors from the Pals Paper Art challenge of Bermuda bay, cucumber crush and crumbcake.

Www.seejanestamp.com ppa 295 1 (548x640)

I stamped the flower image first in black and then used the Bermuda bay. By stamping off the larger flower image once and then using the smaller image at full strength, I got this wonderful layered look.

Www.seejanestamp.com ppa 295 2 (640x406)

Then I masked off the flowers and stamped the leaves – first in black and then in cucumber crush. I added the sentiment and die cut the square. After I popped the square up on the crumbcake, I added a few candy dots and rhinestones.
