Retro Rubber Challenge #39 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge! It’s all about May flowers so if you haven’t played along now is the time!

RRCB 39

I used one of my favorite stamp sets and stamped some flowers in a pattern from the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge image.

I stamped the sentiment and then ran the card thru my linen impression plate. Super easy and a card I plan to reproduce for an upcoming card swap. Then I may retire the stamp set for a while! LOL!

Thinking Of You...

Happy Friday! I decided to use the sketch from the current As You See It challenge and the flower theme from Retro Rubber to make another card. So I stamped the image and used my chalks to color it.

Www.seejanestamp.com 3 (640x511)

I added a piece of striped black paper to the side before adhering to the soft stone base. I stamped the sentiment and then die cut using my sketchy banner die.  I added a bit of a soft curl to the sentiment before attaching and then added a couple of pearls and a candy dot.

Creamsicles...

My use of the zig markers continues today with this cute Popsicle image. I heat embossed the image in white and then did some watercoloring. I opted for orange because who doesn’t love orange creamsicles? Well, probably lots of people but I loved the pop of color!

Www.seejanestamp.com 1 (531x640)

I diecut the image and the orange layer with my pierced rectangle dies and then attached everything on a piece of kraft.

We Just Fit...

Happy Wednesday! I cannot believe it, but it is the last day of school for the kiddos! Didn’t school just start? I am always glad when school gets out – summer is my busiest time at the school and I look forward to the quiet all summer. But I am happy to see the kids back in the fall!

Today’s card was made for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. This was not the card I set out to make but while I was searching my stash, I found these fun puzzle dies and corresponding sentiments from Lil Inkers.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (564x640)

I quickly die cut the puzzle pieces out of red, yellow and blue – primary colors for the last day of school! I ran the card base and the pieces thru the linen impression plate. I adhered the pieces and then added the sentiment.

Retro Rubber Challenge #39...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! We are celebrating flowers in May!

RRCB 39

I started by stamping this old image of an iris. I always love to see the irises show up in the spring! I am not sure how long I have had the image – it came in a set of four flowers that I think I bought back in the mid 90’s.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 39 1 (536x640)

I clear embossed the image and then watercolored with my zig markers. I LOVE these markers! So worth the price – I have had them for several months but never used them! Shame on me!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 39 2 (640x330)

After watercoloring, I backed the image with a piece of perfect plum and then adhered to a soft stone base. I added a sentiment and was done.

Be sure to join us! Bust out your old flowers stamps, whip up a card, and link it up HERE!

It's Graduation Day...

Happy Monday! It’s graduation time and that means I needed to whip up a few cards in short order! I am using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches to help me out with this little project!

I started by heat embossing the image in white. Then using my zig clean color markers, I watercolored the bottom of the gowns, legs and shoes. On my first attempt I used clear embossing but you couldn’t tell what I was making!

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (640x522)

I added the sentiment and then layered on the night of navy cardstock. The sparkle is a piece of glitter tape. That stuff is awesome!

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 2 (640x296)

I made two cards in the blue, white, silver combo and another in gold, brown, and yellow for another young grad.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 3 (640x533)

I was pretty happy with these but mostly how easy the zig markers were to use. In fact, you will see several watercolored cards from me this week because of that!

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 4 (640x368)

A huge thank you to Jen T. at Freshly Made Sketches for picking THIS card as a Perfect Princess! I was more than surprised and thrilled!

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow – it’s time for a new Retro Rubber Challenge!

Supplies: CS: Watercolor paper. SU! night of navy. PTI kraft. Stamps: SU! go graduate. PTI for the graduate. Other: SU! glitter tape. Zig clean color markers.

Wild Thing...

Today’s card is very clean and simple! I was inspired to make something for the Paper Players “Wild Thing” challenge. I love that!

I found this teeny tiny giraffe that I couldn’t resist! Once I stamped him, I used a bit of chalk to color him up.

Www.seejanestamp.com pp 1 (563x640)

I added the sentiment, ran the card thru the linen impression plate and was done. Meanwhile, the song wild thing is stuck in my head! LOL!

A Journey of Friendship...

Today I am playing along with the Fab Friday sketch challenge. I opted to use a color scheme of pink, white and gold.

I started with this delightful stamp that I received for my birthday this past year. I love the sentiment so much! I just can’t believe it has taken me this long to use it! But I digress – I heat embossed it in gold and then die cut using a stitched vertical strip.

Www.seejanestamp.com ff 1 (540x640)

I also die cut the flag out of this beautiful gingham and the stitched circle out of the gold speckled vellum. I punched and layered the pink flowers using the SU! blossom bunch punch.

I put everything together according to the sketch and was done!
