Retro Rubber Challenge #38 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge and I sort of played along with it! This one is a color challenge and perfect to combine with a sketch challenge (i.e. CAS(E) this Sketch)!

RRCB 38

I started by using two of the colors – red and yellow. Then I added black and thought – I just made a Mickey Mouse colored card! LOL! I stamped the “splatter” in real red using the SU! gorgeous grunge stamp set.

Then I die cut three quadrangles and adhered together. While I was busy die cutting, I cranked out three hellos and glued together. I added the quadrangle and hello to the front of the card and was done!

Ever Thanks...

Happy Monday! I am popping in with a quick card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by putting together a couple of pieces of patterned paper and then added a thin strip of black to ground the two patterns.

I die cut the gerbera daisy in white and layered several daisy sizes together. A yellow button for the center finished off the daisy.

I added the sentiment and was done!

A HUGE thank you to Kim at Freshly Made Sketches for choosing THIS card as a Princess last week!  It is so much fun to play along with FMS and such an honor to be chosen!

I Love Stamps...

Today’s project is a bit of a departure for me but for a good reason. I am part of an organization called P.E.O. P.E.O. helps women to pursue higher education. As a daughter of educators, I was raised to understand the importance of education and to never quit learning which makes this organization a perfect fit for me.

Www.seejanestamp.com peo 1 (520x640)

Annually, we have a state convention. This year we were asked to make something that represents each of us. I chose stamps. I stamped this cute image and used colored pencils and paper piecing to complete her.  I added a piece of the plaid paper and some lucky limeade to a piece of crumbcake and die cut that with my mini scallop stitched square. I die cut the crafty girl with a mini scallop stitched circle and popped it up on the base.

Www.seejanestamp.com peo 2 (640x435)

I stamped the sentiment and then wrote my P.E.O. chapter and name as well. As this “picture” is going on a display board, I put a couple of eyelets in and added some lime green wire. Before I put everything together, I die cut a second base to glue to the back to give the picture a more finished look in case someone decides to look behind it.

I just adore what I made, it represents me perfectly as a stamper and sports two of my favorite colors – lime green and aqua.

Thanks for stopping by today! I am off for the weekend but will be back on Monday!

A Blueish Hello...

I am finally playing along with the Reverse Confetti sketch challenge. I have not had the opportunity to play along in months!

36_May2016

I started with some paper from RC and cut into the shapes necessary for the challenge. Then I die cut hello three times, glued together, and attached to the paper. I added the heart and a bit of bling and was done.

Www.seejanestamp.com rc 1 (640x517)

So while I was making this card, I die cut the heart and promptly lost the little heart die. *sigh* I can’t believe it. I looked all over and so far haven’t found it. So I stopped looking in hopes I will!

A Reason To Smile...

It’s Wednesday! Yay! Today’s card was made for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. And although this is a nice clean and simple card, I think it took four times to get the flowers right! I was about to give up!

I stamped the roses and leaves and then die cut with my MFT pinking edge stitched squares.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (563x640)

I stamped the sentiment on both pieces and then pieced together on the card base. I did the same with the small confetti that you can barely see on the card.

That’s it for today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!

Retro Rubber Challenge #38...

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber! We have a wonderful color challenge for you this time around. Although the inspiration picture has flowers, you are not obligated to use them. Take your inspiration from the beautiful colors!

RRCB 38

I made this card for my mom for Mother’s Day. She is a great mom and deserving of more than just this simple card. However, I was under strict instructions that I was not to get her anything. Being the good daughter that I am I ignored that order, of course!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 38 1 (533x640)

I started with this old Great Impressions stamp that I have had for about 5 years. I stamped it in black and then used chalks to color in. I die cut the image using my mini scallop stitched circle and popped it up on a piece of wisteria wonder.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 38 2 (640x446)

I added some twine and a button and then adhered to the white card base. I followed the sketch from As You See It as it was suited perfectly for this image. Mom said she loved the card!

Another Brick In the Wall...

Happy Monday! Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and the Color Throwdown (peach, light blue, pink and orange) challenge.

I decided to use my colors in a stencil of a brick wall and then add a quick sentiment. I started by using my inks and my new clarity stencil brushes (they are awesome!) and quickly whipped up the background. I started with peach, added the blue, then pink and finally the orange.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms ct 1 (530x640)

I die cut seriously out of peach parfait paper several times and then layered them together. I adhered to the base and added the “you rock”.   Putting this card together was fast and easy! Plus I couldn’t help but sing the Pink Floyd song “Another Brick in the Wall” as I was making this card!!

Be Creative...

Today’s card was made for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. I found this sketch very intriguing!

Ultimately I made an easy CAS card with a little masking and some chalks. I used some painters tape to mask off a pattern similar to the sketch.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (574x640)

Then, using some lime green chalk, I chalked the spaces between the tape. I slowly (key is slowly!) pulled the tape off and added the sentiment and some bling.

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 2 (640x470)

I popped the card front on the lucky limeade paper and was done!

Retro Rubber Challenge #37 part two...

Welcome to the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge! Please join us for the fun sketch challenge that has loads of possibilities!

RRCB 37

This week I used some papers from my stash to create the bottom part of the sketch. Then I stamped the butterfly in pink pirouette. My mini Misti came in handy as I had to stamp the image several times to get a dark enough pink!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 37 5 (567x640)

I added the thank you, ran everything thru the linen impression plate and adhered to some lost lagoon. This card will be winging its way to a stamping friend who sent me some of the SU! glitter tape a while ago.

Spring Daffodils...

Happy Monday! It feels forever since I have said that! I have missed my crafty time and blogging! I hope to be back on schedule with a post Monday thru Friday. Although as I write this, I only have Monday thru Wednesday covered!

Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and pairs nicely with The Card Concept challenge of spring flowers!  And it ties in nicely with the Addicted to CAS challenge - code word plaid!

I started by stamping this wonderful daffodil flower and using chalks to color it in with a bit of chalk around the flower as well. My favorite spring flowers have to be daffodils, lilacs, and tulips! They look so happy!

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (640x538)

I flipped the sketch a bit by putting my plaid paper and soft sky trim on the right side with the image and sentiment on the left. I ran the card front thru the linen impression plate and thru the scallop rectangle die before popping up on crumbcake.
