Retro Rubber Challenge #41...

Welcome to a new challenge at the Retro Rubber Challenge! This time we have a color challenge – just in time for the fourth of July or really any reason to use red, white and blue!

RRCB 41

I started by die cutting a couple of fishtail banners – one in real red and one in some star paper. I am following the Fab Friday sketch and think this card turned out rather niftily.

I added a bit of striped paper on either side of the banners and a bit of twine and a star to finish off the card. I slipped the sentiment in at the last minute (because I realized that I had NO stamping on this card!) on the star banner where it fits perfectly.  (The stamp is about 3 or 4 years old).

Now it’s your turn! Create a card with some red, white and blue and link up your creation HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: SU! White and real red. Pattern paper from stash. Stamps: PTI red, white and blue. Other: MFT stitched fishtail banners. PTI linen impression plate. SU! Linen thread. Star.

Oh this came together perfectly! That "last minute" stamp was just the thing - good catch, lol. Love the little star charm, too. Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

Love it! Great colors and perfect design for the summer time. Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday, hope to see you again soon!

I would say it turned out nifty also! I like the CAS feel as it lets the paper patterns and sentiment really shine! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

Hello Jane: This is one beautiful CAS Patriotic card, I love the banner stitched dies and the pattern papers, specially the one with the teeny, tiny stars, perfect place for the sentiment.
Awesome detail with the little star charm and the twine!!!
Big Hugs,
Maria.

Hey Jane, another superb CAS example here. I LOL about the no stamping that often happens to me, your stamp addition worked really well here. Cx

Katy McGloin

Stunning example of CAS, Jane! LOVE this! (and, yes, we would have missed the stamp, LOL)

Debbie Mageed

CUTE CAS CARD!! You always wow me with how your cards can achieve so much with so little. And thanks for remembering the stamp (it is part of the challenge, ya know!)!! LOL

Hi Jane,
We are so glad you took part in our challenge at Fab Friday! Your patriotic card is so pretty. I love the star accent and the way it draws your eyes right to the sentiment.

Christine Traversa

Love this CAS design! The polka dots are so playful and this design packs a big punch of fun! ❤️
