Puzzle Me This...

Today’s card is for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. When I saw their sketch, I had to play along (like that’s a surprise!)!

Conveniently I have puzzle piece dies so I made short work of this card. I die cut various pieces out of both pattern and solid papers.

I arranged the pieces, added the sentiment with a cute little smile and I was done!

Retro Rubber Challenge #46...

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber! This time we have a theme challenge to use critters!

RRCB 46

I have a super clean and simple card for you today. My problem was that I couldn’t decide what critter to use. Come to find out, I have a lot of them. And since I love penguins, I decided to go with that.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 46 1 (528x640)

I started with this cute image from the SU! animal crackers stamp set from 2009. I die cut around it, added a strip of dotted paper and popped up the image.

A few rhinestones and my card was complete. Be sure to play along with us! Link up your card HERE!

Hollyhock Blooms...

Hello Monday! Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started with a base of crumbcake and added a piece of orange striped paper. I die cut a piece of yellow dotted paper and adhered over the orange piece.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (531x640)

I stamped the sentiment and then die cut around it and popped it up on the dotted paper and added the hollyhock images. I placed the sentiment and images a bit crooked for some interest and then added the enamel dots.

Wisteria...

I have a lovely CAS card for you today. I recently purchased the Papertrey Ink Make It Market Kit – Garden Gate. I fell in love with the flowers and the gate die wasn’t so bad either! This was my first chance to play with the stamps and I anticipate taking full advantage of all of the stamps before long!

Www.seejanestamp.com 1 (510x640)

I stamped the leaves in pear pizazz and then added the wisteria using winter wisteria ink. After that I added the vine and sentiment. I ran the card thru my linen impression plate because you would all be disappointed if I didn’t! LOL!

Normally I would have a new challenge from the As You See It Challenge tomorrow but it is on a mini hiatus due to some website issues. Hopefully we will be back up and fully functional before too long!

I won’t have a post on Friday so have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by and I will see you back here Monday!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. Stamps: PTI make it market garden gate. Inks: Memento black. SU! pear pizzazz and soft suede. PTI winter wisteria. Other: PTI linen impression plate.

We Three Ships...

Today’s card was made for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. And it caused great debate over what I should call this post – We Three Ships or Sail On. You can see what I decided on above – lol!

I am calling these ships The Nina, The Pinta, and the Santa Maria. I remembered the names but had to google them to double check myself. It’s amazing what information sticks in your head from grade school! I believe my teachers would be proud!

Www.seejanestamp.com cts 1 (511x640)

So I die cut these ships and placed them on a wave that I cut out of a larger piece of beachy paper. I added the sentiment and was done with my card. Thanks to the Commodores, my earworm is Sail On. Go forth and sing my friends!

Retro Rubber Challenge #45 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge! Come and play along with us using this great sketch!

RRCB 45

I opted to use some newer stamps for my card this week. I recently received my Stampin’ Up order and I stocked up with a bunch of holiday goodies as well as some items from the current catalog. If you like what you see, feel free to click on the “need supplies” button in the right hand column and shop away!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 45 ss 1 (640x559)

I used the SU! live, love, grow stamp set to stamp some succulents in blues and greens which work perfectly with the Sunday Stamps color challenge. Then I added a bit of blue chalk behind the plants and die cut with a stitched arch. I added a bit of striped paper and some rhinestones and enamel stars.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 45 ss 2 (640x368)

I added the sentiment and have to say I am in love with the fonts in the stamp set. So delicate but they stamp very clearly!

There’s still time to play along and you can link up your card HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. MFT dots and stripes pattern paper. Stamps: SU! live love grow. Inks: SU! Bermuda bay, pool party, pear pizzazz and garden green. Memento black. Other: PTI linen impression plate. MFT stitched arch. SU! enamel stars and rhinestones.

A Dotty Hello...

Happy Monday! I have a fun CAS card for you today that I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by using a dotted line die to cut the circles in the card stock. Then I added the sentiment.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (538x640)

I stamped the flower using a bit of the rock n roll technique to get two colors of ink on the stamp to give the image a bit of dimension. Then I stamped away.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 2 (640x610)

A smart person would have stamped first and die cut second but I was originally going to die cut the flower and pop it up instead of making a one layer card. But I quite liked what I ended up with so was pleased that I didn’t follow my original plan.

That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. Stamps: PTI Bitty Bouquets. W+9 Strictly Sentiments 2. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. MFT blueprints 14. Inks: PTI spring moss, ripe avocado, bright buttercup and summer sunrise. Memento black.

Retro Rubber Challenge #45...

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber! For this challenge we have a sketch that was created by DT member Claire Grantham. It’s a fun one and based on all of the design team inspiration – you can do a lot with it!

RRCB 45

I stuck pretty close to the original. I dug out my retired SU! French foliage stamp set. It’s one of my favorites and I have had it 5 years or more. I stamped random images in wisteria wonder, lucky limeade and lost lagoon before die cutting using my stitched arch dies.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 45 1 (640x553)

I added a piece of pattern paper on my card base and then ran it thru the linen impression plate. I stamped the sentiment (from a set I have had about 3 years) and then punched it out using my SU! washi label punch. I put everything together according to the sketch and added a few enamel dots and rhinestones in place of the star on the sketch.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 45 2 (640x512)

It’s your turn! Be sure to play along with us and link up your card HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! School starts for us tomorrow so I probably won’t be posting until next week sometime. Too much to do and too little crafty time!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. MFT plaid patterns. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. MFT stitched arch. Stamps: SU! French foliage. W+9 strictly sentiments 2. Inks: SU! lost lagoon, lucky limeade, and wisteria wonder. Memento black. Other: Enamel dots. Rhinestones. SU! candy dots.

Lavender Birthday Wishes...

It’s Monday! Today’s card was made for the Fab Friday challenge. I thought they had a fun sketch so I decided to give it a try.

I wanted to use my lavender die so I watercolored some paper in purples and greens and then die cut the flowers. I adhered the die to another piece of watercolor paper that I colored in blue. If you followed my posts last week, I tied all of the cards to the Olympics. I would like to think I can do that this week – but I came up empty. Oh well!

Www.seejanestamp.com ff 1 (566x640)

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and die cut with my washi die and then adhered to a piece of wisteria wonder. The wisteria paper was part of some scraps I had been saving that was cut on the diagonal. But I like the unusual shape that it gives to the sentiment – adds a bit of interest!

Www.seejanestamp.com ff 2 (640x609)

I adhered everything to a base of kraft and was done!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow as a new Retro Rubber Challenge starts then!

Supplies: CS: Water color paper. PTI kraft and white. SU! wisteria wonder. Inks: Memento black. Distress inks. Dies: MFT washi tape. Memory Box long stem lavender. Stamps: PTI painted petals.

You're Grrrreat...

Yay! Friday – you know that means lots of uninterrupted Olympics – right? OK – so I am not sure that I will get to watch all that much but I do have one last card to leave you with for the weekend!

Www.seejanestamp.com 3 (525x640)

A simple one layer card! I stamped my dinosaur in black and then added a palm frond as a tree. Besides the Olympics, I may be obsessed with the movie – Jurassic World. I am not sure why as I was never crazy about the first ones.  I mean they were good but I stop and watch JW every time it’s on. Oy!

Www.seejanestamp.com 4 (640x574)

I added the sentiment in an unusual way mainly because I liked how all the images worked together with that layout. And since all the Olympic athletes are great – I thought this card tied into the games just fine!

Thanks for stopping by today! I am off for the weekend and will be back on Monday! Enjoy your weekend – whatever you end up doing!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. Stamps: PTI tropics. SU! no bones about it. Inks: Memento black. SU! wild wasabi.
