Retro Rubber Challenge #48...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! This challenge is an embellishment challenge and embraces the use of ribbon, lace or twine on your card. That’s it! Yep, bust out your old stamps, throw on some ribbon, lace or twine and you are all set!

RRCB 48

I started by going with a bit of a retro theme! I die cut several retro shapes out of some “retro” (retired SU! paper) and some fresh new pattern paper. I layered the pieces a bit randomly, adhered to the card base and then stamped the sentiment. The sentiment was part of the PTI stamp a faire challenge from 2014.

My final step was to staple the grey shape to some lost lagoon ribbon and adhere to the rest of the shapes. I say this because I figured out pretty quickly that the ribbon interfered with getting a good image of the sentiment. Good thing I have lots of white cardstock! LOL!

Now it’s your turn! Be sure to play along and link up your card HERE!

Retro Shapes...

It’s Monday and time to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I am also adding in the Card Concept (clean and simple) because of the fun colors that they have for their challenge!

I started by using a retro shape and stamping it in a line using the required challenge colors. I added the sentiment and then die cut the rectangle.

I added a bit of twine and popped the rectangle up on a kraft card base. Easy peasy! I so love these colors and pretty much anything that is retro!

Grace...

I am ending my week by using this beautiful quote from Verve stamps. The colors come from last week’s Color Throwdown challenge. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to use the colors on a card before the challenge closed but I thought the colors looked beautiful together!

Www.seejanestamp.com 26 (640x526)

I stamped the leaf image in London fog, melon berry and aqua mist. Then I added the quote. I ran the card thru my linen plate and called it good.

September Pals Blog Hop...

2016badge-moss

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects represent our favorite year end Season. It may be Autumn, Winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (and maybe even a combination!) We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Hello all! I am celebrating the Christmas season! I used two of my favorite Christmas stamp sets to create today’s card! Not to mention all of that gorgeous copper!

Www.seejanestamp.com sept blog hop 1 (580x640)

I started by stamping the stars from the Be Jolly By Golly stamp set in versamark and then heat embossing them in copper embossing powder. I repeated this process a second time to get a nice thick emboss. Using a sentiment and the light marks from the Star Of Night set, I stamped the sentiment and then the light marks around the most prominent star.

Www.seejanestamp.com sept blog hop 2 (640x412)

I did a bit of splattering using old olive, elegant eggplant, and crushed curry inks before cutting the card front down to accommodate the strips of copper foil and elegant eggplant cardstock on an old olive base.

I love the simplicity and elegance of this card and hopefully it inspires you to mix and match some of your Christmas stamp sets!

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
