Retro Rubber Challenge #52...
November 22, 2016
Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! We have a fun sketch challenge for you and if you like clean and layered then you will enjoy this sketch!
I started by using the retired SU! Evergreen stamp set. This stamp set came out in 2012 or 2013 and I liked it immediately when I saw it. I stamped the tree in old olive and then added the script over the top. An enamel star was the perfect way to finish off the tree.
I cut two pieces of pattern paper and backed them with cherry cobbler and basic grey. The tree was backed in old olive and I love that it blends into the old olive card base. I stamped the sentiment (from a new stamp set), adhered everything and was done.
It’s your turn! See what you can do with this sketch and link up HERE!
A huge Thank You to Cindy and the Freshly Made Sketches gang for selecting THIS card as a Perfect Princess! Thank you for the honor!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!
Supplies: SU! very vanilla, basic grey, old olive, cherry cobbler, and merry moments designer series paper. Stamps: SU! evergreen. CB message me. Other: PTI linen impression plate. SU! old olive ink. Memento black. SU! enamel dots.
Hey Jane, I love this. The colours are so traditionally Christmassy, but the tree feels very modern, love the mix. Have a lovely Thanksgiving. Clairex

Look at you! You can even make a layered card appear CAS!! Love your stamped image and the choice of DSP is great! Layering the sentiment onto the tree was such a beautiful idea. Love it!! Have a very blessed Thanksgiving, Jane! XO

Jane, how much do I adore this card? Well, it is already pinned because I have that stamp set and have forgotten it. I LOVE your choice of DSPs to go with your color choices. Truly a fantastic CAL (clean and layered) card. Hope you are still enjoying your holiday!! :)
