The Cats Whiskers For Brown Sugar...

Welcome to a new Brown Sugar Challenge! This week our sponsor is All Dressed Up and the theme is Anything Goes!

2015 all dressed up stamps

I used this sweet cat image to create a simple black and white card with just a pop of color!  I used my colored pencils to fill in the hearts and ribbon and added a bit of grey on the cat. Which, of course, did not translate well in my photo!

I die cut the image with the stamped edge die and then popped it up over some black and white polka dots on a white base!

Singing Trees For Brown Sugar...

It’s time for a new Brown Sugar Challenge! Our theme is to use red, white and green on your projects. Our sponsor for this challenge is Melonheadz. They have some great digi images so be sure to go check them out!

I used these cute trees. I liked the idea of singing trees so I made a small chorus and added a tree with a sentiment and one with some lights!

It’s like they showed up at your doorstep to sing a few carols and decorate your house!

Retro Rubber Challenge #53 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge so I whipped up a clean and simple card using colors inspired by the challenge.

RRCB 53

I die cut three hour glass dies in white, real red and garden green. All three colors had been run thru the linen impression plate first.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 53 3 (571x640)

I attached the white die to a crumbcake base and then added three red flags and three green flags. A sentiment finishes off the card.

There’s still time to play so be sure to link up your card HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! I will be back Friday!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. SU! real red, garden green, and crumbcake. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. SSS full card hourglass. Stamps: PTI snowflake flurries.

Merry Copper Trees...

Today’s card was made using the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

I started with a couple of trees die cut from copper foil. Before I cut the images, I ran the foil through a pine embossing folder to give the trees some texture.

I stamped a sentiment on the cream linen and then die cut it using a mini stitched scallop rectangle. Clean and simple!

Thanks for stopping by today! Due to the holidays and my busy schedule, I plan on posting a couple of times next week and then will be off for the holidays with minimal posting until the beginning of January. I had hoped to keep my usual posting schedule but I just have too much to do! I am sure you can relate!

Supplies: CS: PTI vintage cream linen. SU! copper foil. Dies: PB tall trees. MFT mini scallop stitched rectangles. Stamps: MFT hand lettered holiday.

Retro Rubber Challenge #53...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! This is our last one for 2016! I can’t believe the year is almost over! This challenge is a color inspiration based on the picture in the challenge image.

RRCB 53

I used a palette of cream and white with just a smidge of red and green thrown in. I started with some white texture paste and a snowfall stencil. I added the paste to the cream cardstock that I had run thru the linen impression plate and cut down a bit to go on the white card base.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 53 1 (575x640)

I stamped the sentiment (circa 2015) and then added a die cut set of holly leaves and berries on the edge. Finally, I popped the sentiment up over the card front. I love the simplicity of the card with all that neutral and small pop of color.

A Leafy Tree...

Here we go – twenty days until Christmas! I am so unprepared! My card for today used the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by using the PTI Christmas tree die and some pattern paper.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (532x640)

I stamped the sentiment and then die cut it using a washi tape die. To follow the sketch, I added a second washi tape die cut underneath and then popped them up over the tree.

I added some strips of cardstock and pattern paper behind the square and a few enamel dots. I used the sketch from the Sunday Stamps challenge to pull this all together.

I opted to stick with the wreaths and the colors!  Both stamps are from Great Impressions, one of our sponsors.

Www.seejanestamp.com Dec HOC 1 (565x640)

I stamped the wreath and heat embossed in brown.  Then using a variety of distress inks, I watercolored the wreath.  I added the sentiment and then did a bit of die cutting so that I could layer up the image!
