Retro Rubber Challenge #54...
January 17, 2017
Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! We have a theme challenge to use snow on your card! And don’t forget to use a stamp older than one year!
I opted to use paper that had snow on it and die cut a double stitched circle. Then I die cut a couple of mittens out of some coordinating paper and added a string of pearls to the edge of each of them.
I stamped the sentiment (from the PTI Winter Hills circa 2012) and then used a washi tape die to die cut the cream linen paper. I added a piece of perfect plum (that I also die cut with the washi tape) underneath to help the sentiment stand out a bit. A few enamel dots and pearls finished off the card.
Be sure to break out your old stamps, whip up a card and join us! Link your beauty HERE!!
I am also entering the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge as it gave me the extra inspiration I needed for this card!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!!
Supplies: CS: PTI vintage linen cream. SU! perfect plum. Cosmo Cricket mitten weather. Stamps: PTI winter hills. Dies: MFT warm and fuzzy, double stitched circles, and washi tape. Other: SU! enamel dots and pearls.
My favorite detail is your use of pale plum for the challenge! And the pearls make the mittens so feminine!! SWEET!

I love the snowflake paper, it just pops with with those cute little mittens embellished with pearls. The placement of all your enamel dots are so perfect.. I struggle with how many and where to put them. YOU did Great! I've even looked it up online for help that's how desperate I am to place them. lol

This is a warm, sweet card. Perfect Plum is not one I'd have thought of for a snow card but it's great! The washi tape die cut is my favourite little detail in your card. When I first looked at it, I thought you'd done the whole sponging and masking routine to get that ball of snowflakes, it looked so good! Great card. Thank you for letting me join in the fun at Retro Rubber - I'm looking forward to it,

Jane, it's so much fun to finally see your cards! You know how I struggle making anything even remotely CAS so I love coming to see yours. The unusual color scheme is perfect and the attention to detail without going overboard is what makes your cards over the top lovely. I hope you are having a wonderful start of the year! Hugs to ya, my friend!!
