Retro Rubber Challenge #56...
February 14, 2017
It’s time for a new Retro Rubber Challenge! We are all about the birthdays for this challenge and if you are like me, you never have a birthday card handy!
I started by stamping these layered flowers in pool party and Bermuda bay. Then I added a few crushed curry and delightful Dijon sprinkles. The flower images are from Rubbernecker that I have had at least 3 or 4 years and my sentiment stamp is one I have had since 2014.
After I added the sentiment, I ran the card front thru the linen impression plate and then die cut using a stitched rectangle. I decided the pattern paper needed a bit more flair and die cut it using a mini scalloped rectangle. I layered everything together and added the final touches of dots and rhinestones.
Be sure to play along with us and link up your birthday card HERE!
I have managed to get the crud or it’s gotten me so this will be my only post for the week. Blech. Thanks for stopping by today! See you next week!
Supplies: CS: PTI white and kraft. Pattern paper from stash. Stamps: Rubbernecker layered flowers. PTI KIS birthday. Inks: Memento black. SU! Bermuda bay, pool party, delightful Dijon and crushed curry. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. MFT blueprints 20. Other: SU! dots and rhinestones.
Jane, love your layered flowers, the colors you choose are just perfect. I hope you are feeling better...take care of yourself.

I really like this card. The way you've lifted the colours from the DSP into the stamping is so well done but then, it's such a wonderful stamp set! I'm a big fan of splatters and they add such a lift to the card. Just lovely!

Jane, love this beautiful and delicate flowers, the way you offset the image with the colors makes them look 3D. And yes, the splatter is such a fabulous touch, looks like Fairy Dust.
The pattern paper is so pretty, frames the main panel perfectly.
Hugs,
Maria.

I daresay that you had this card done before the "crud" because it certainly has no remnants of "bleh" to it! Love the layering, Jane, as well as the color scheme. Hope you are feeling better soon!!

I love each and every one of them. That stamp set is really cool and you sure made it shine! Feel better, fearless leader!
