Retro Rubber Challenge #59...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! We have a fun sketch for you to try!  Lots of possibilities!  Be sure to use at least one older (than a year) stamp and join us!

I started by stamping three butterflies in different colors and then added the sentiment and some bling. The butterflies are from the Altenew Painted Butterflies that I have had since 2014. rrcb 59 1 (523x640)

I cut the card front down, added Bermuda bay to back it and then attached them to a stitched rectangle of pattern paper before adding to the crumbcake base. rrcb 59 2 (640x499)

Be sure to play along with us! Link up HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS:  SU! white, Bermuda bay, crumbcake, and carousels and cupcakes dsp.  Stamps:  Altenew painted butterflies.  Inks:  SU! crisp cantaloupe, calypso coral, peekaboo peach, so saffron and crushed curry.  Memento black.  Dies:  PTI tipped topped dies and linen impression plate.  MFT blueprints 13.  Other:  SU! enamel dots and rhinestones.

Yay! Your blog is back up - those gremlins, always up to no-good!! Glad they're gone so I can see this fantastic CAS card with beautiful butterflies. Love the feeling of movement they have and the colors are great! Sweet card, my friend!!

I like the striped paper and the way you've chosen colours from it for your butterflies. The thing that I thinks is most stunning about this card is your perfect placement of the enamel dots and bling. They hold the butterflies into a group rather than leaving them a random placement of images. Very clever! Great card!

So pretty! Those butterflies look like they are floating right off the page!

I love the butterflies you stamped. The look like the are hovering over a flower!! Love that you used striped paper to match the colors of the butterflies too. Great design!

I love how the whole card is totally colour coordinated. The addition of the bling, gives the impression of flowers, anchoring your beautiful butterflies, pretty and clever too!! Clairex

Hi Jane! Glad I wasn't able to see this beauty on Tuesday because now I have seen 2 beauties and both are pinned!! I adore the whimsy of these butterflies and the sweet colors used to let them shine (and all coordinated with dsp!). I may take a look at Altenew... love being enabled! Stunning card!
