Retro Rubber Challenge #61...
April 25, 2017
Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! Just use buttons on your card and a stamp older than a year and you are good to go!
I started with my PTI Fancy Footworks stamp set from 2013. This was a stamp set that I had to have when it came out because I loved the dance steps. So I stamped the “her” steps in harvest gold and the “his” steps in blueberry sky. I ran the card front and the card base thru the linen impression plate as well.
I stamped the sentiment and cut out using my washi tape die. I also die cut a couple more washi tapes in yellow and blue so I could layer them up.
I layered the front over some crushed curry and then put everything together on a base of midnight muse. Be sure to play along with us and link up HERE!
I am entering this card in the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.
A huge thank you to Nance at Paper Players for selecting THIS card as A Cut Above!
On a personal note, my life outside of card making (not that we like to admit we have one *wink*) has gotten a bit more hectic than I expected so I am rolling back the number of posts that I typically do each week. I hope to post 2-3 times a week but it may be down to once a week for a while. Thank you for understanding!!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Supplies: CS: SU! white, crushed curry and midnight muse. Stamps: PTI fancy footworks. Inks: Memento black. PTI blueberry sky and harvest gold. Dies: PTI linen impression plate. MFT washi tape. Other: SU! buttons. Twine.

Cute card!

I'm once again in awe of your interesting stamp collection! You've used a bright and cheerful palette too. I like the layers of colour under the sentiment strip and the little washi tape ends you've given it. Great detailing on an apparently simple card.

Gosh Jane, I do not remember this stamp set, but this image is so cute, love the dancing foot prints.
Beautiful soft colors, this image was perfect for the sketch, the buttons holding the sentiment look like lemon drops, which are one of my favortie candies.
Hugs,
Maria.

Jane, you win the prize for the most unusual stamp I have ever seen! Where in the world did you find that?? Your take on the sketch is perfectly done and the buttons make your banner really stand out. Great card, Pal!
