Retro Rubber Challenge #74...

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber!  We have a fun sketch challenge this go around.

RRCB 74

I started by using a couple of my favorite stamp sets – Clearly Besotted Sunburst from 2015 and PTI Be from 2016.  I stamped three circle images in different colors and then added the words to each circle.

I added the main sentiment before running thru the linen impression plate and backing the card front with pink cardstock and a kraft card base.

This card is going to a dear friend who has been going thru difficult times.  It’s always good to be reminded of who we are and how highly others think of us when we are feeling a little lost.  Don't you agree?

Scary Times For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge for As You See It and it’s a scary one!  The challenge is to make a scary card.  Now, I really don’t have a lot of scary stamps so I decided to make a sort of scary card.

#161 10.20.17

I don’t know about you, but if we run out of coffee at my house, it gets pretty scary.  Thus my scary card!

I started by diecutting some patterned paper and then adhered to the card base.  I then die cut and stamped the coffee cup and popped up on the patterned paper.

That’s it for today.  Good news – I am hoping to get back to posting on a regular schedule starting in November.  My craft cave has been getting cobwebs for lack of use and I am itching to get back in there.

Speed For AYSI...

It’s a new As You See It Challenge starting today.  This one is a color and speed challenge.  You have 10 minutes to start and complete your card.  You will need to state your remaining time in the blog post.  You are allowed to prep your work area beforehand so that all of your supplies are handy before you start.

#160 10.6.17

I found some really lovely fall paper and matching cardstock that I die cut before adhering to the card base.  I stamped a sentiment, cut down and flagged the end.

I put everything together and finished with some rhinestones and enamel dots.  I had 1:47 remaining of my 10 minutes.  And I was panicked the whole time I was making the card!
