Retro Rubber Challenge #76...
November 21, 2017
Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! It’s Anything Goes!
I opted to go with a Christmas theme and dug out this cute nutcracker stamp from Simon Says Stamp’s Retro Christmas (2015). I colored him in with colored pencils and then die cut the image.
I added the sentiment (I do like to do sideways sentiments) and a bit of twine and a few dots. A strip of striped paper backed with some old olive was the final touch before I layered everything on an early espresso card base.
Be sure to play along and link up HERE!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Supplies: CS: SU! white, early espresso, old olive and letters to Santa dsp. Stamps: SSS Retro Christmas (2015). Dies: PTI linen impression plate. MFT mini scallop stitched rectangles. Other: SU! early espresso twine and dots. Colored pencils. Memento black ink.
Very nice image! Great card!

What a fun nutcracker! The paring with the patterned paper picks up the color from you image and sets it off beautifully!

Wow, Jane! I see layers and everything here!! What a sweet nutcracker and the sideways sentiment is so cool! I have never had the guts to do that but of course I can't make a CAS card to save my life either LOL. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Ah Jane, you've been delving into that eclectic stamp collection of yours again! This is an image I've never seen before and he's adorable. I like the way the colours are picked out of the background paper. The white die cut really focusses our attention on him and the greeting.

Love the colored nutcracker, Jane! But it is the background that grabs my attention. You have a mixture of vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines that makes this card so interesting. Love it!!

Fantastic card as always Jane, I love that Nutcracker stamp, he is awesome, he reminds me of the Nutcracker we had when I was growing up. Cx
