On The Go For AYSI...

We have a new challenge at As You See It that starts today!  Once again, Amanda created a fun and challenging sketch!

#183 8.24.18

I started by adding a thin piece of black cardstock to my white card base.  I thought this would be a nice substitute for the ribbon in the sketch.

Then I added three suitcases in one of my favorite colors – lemon lime twist!  I added the sentiment and then ran the card thru my linen impression plate.

These bags remind me of bags on the airport baggage carousel – except in better shape!  LOL!  The sentiment is a fun addition – because seriously – who doesn’t love going to see Grandma and Grandpa!

Retro Rubber Challenge 93...

A new challenge at Retro Rubber begins today!  We have a fun tic tac toe challenge!

RRCB 93

I opted for the die cut/stripes/bird combo.  I started with a piece of perfect plum that I ran thru my stripes embossing folder.  Then I die cut a sweet little bird out of raspberry ripple.

I stamped the sentiment (from PTI Summer Hills 2013) and then die cut with my stitched wonky dies.  I adhered the plum to the card base of crumbcake and then popped up the sentiment before adding some dots/pearls/rhinestones.

Kiwis For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a fun sketch for you to try.

#182 8.10.18

I started with a base of white.  I added a piece of white cardstock that I die cut a curved edge into and then backed it with a piece of lemon lime twist that I cut a curved edge into as well.

I added the kiwi pattern paper to the base before layering the white/lemon lime twist combo.

I found the “sweet” sentiment and stamped it on a washi tape die cut that I popped up over the kiwis.  I added the button with some twine and was done.

Patterns For House Of Cards...

The first day of August means it’s a new challenge at House of Cards.  The challenge for this month is to use pattern paper, the colors in the challenge image, or both.

August Patterned Paper and or colors

I opted to use pattern papers for this challenge.  I found some lovely coordinating papers and cut strips that I adhered to a base of lost lagoon.

I debated about how to add a sentiment and finally landed on using a strip of cardstock and attaching it to the bottom of the card.  I feel like it gives a bit of weight to all of the patterns.

A few rhinestones for some sparkle and I was done.
