Retro Rubber Challenge 106...

A new challenge is afoot at Retro Rubber!  It is time to earn your stripes and use them on a card.

RRCB 106

This card did not turn out anything like when I started.  I was going to stamp the stripes and then ended up with pattern paper instead.  You just have to go with the flow!  I started by die cutting two stitched ovals and stamping the sentiment using my W+9 Strictly Sentiments stamp set from 2013.

Then I flagged the ends of the striped paper (it pays to save scraps!), added some gold thread and then adhered everything together.  Finally, I popped up the sentiment and added some gold stars.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:  CS:  SU! daffodil delight.  PTI white and harvest gold.  Stamps:  W+9 Strictly Sentiments (2013).  Dies:  PTI linen impression plate.  SU! stitched shapes.  Other:  Thread.  SU! enamel stars.

Love your beautiful CAS card! The little striped piece is perfect!

I like the subtlety of your stripes. Sticking to just one colour can be so effective, as you've shown here. I like your clean style.

The queen of CAS is at it again with some stunning layers. Love the addition of the simple gold thread along with the stars. that match the sentiment to shine!

Jane, another wonderful Queen of CAS outing! I love the bright yellow with the thread and the tiny striped banner. Lovely. Clairex
