Retro Rubber Challenge 116...

It’s a new challenge at Retro Rubber and it is a delightful tic tac toe.

RRCB 116

I bounced around for a while before finally deciding which row I was going to tackle.  I ended up with the pattern paper/romance/enamel dots or gems.  I started with a card base of balmy blue and added this sweet piece of butterfly pattern paper. rrcb 116 1 (564x640)

Then I die cut and embossed the arch using my inspiration impression plate right after I added the sentiment.  My apologies if the impression plate is hard to see – it is various inspirational words.  It did not photo well at all!  My sentiment comes from my PTI ways to say I love you from 2017. rrcb 116 2 (640x442)

I popped up the arch and then added my rhinestones and dots.

Beachy Times For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  LeAnne created this fun challenge for theme week which is Beaches!

#205 7.19.19

I dug out an old Lawn Fawn stamp set and created a very relaxing scene.  Who doesn’t want to be lying in a hammock on the beach?  Actually, the palm trees and hammock look like a smiling face.  LOL! aysi 205 1 (613x640)

I stamped the images and then used my chalks to add the color.  I die cut the image and ran thru the linen impression plate before adhering to the kraft card base. aysi 205 2 (640x451)

Retro Rubber Challenge 115...

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber!  It’s a color challenge for purple, yellow and green!

RRCB 115

I started with a purple card base and a piece of purple pattern paper that I arranged on half of the white card front. rrcb 115 1 (558x640)

I stamped the image using elegant eggplant, garden green and daffodil delight.  Then I snuck the sentiment in next to the stem.  I used my PTI bitty bouquets stamp set that I have had since 2015 and also used the PTI ways to say hello stamp set (2017) for the sentiment. rrcb 115 2 (640x611)

Finally I ran the card front thru the linen impression plate and thru my MFT blue print stitched die before adding some twine and adhering to the card base.

A July Christmas For AYSI...

We have a fun new challenge at As You See It!  And it’s one that I created – we have a recipe challenge for you.  Use the following on your card:  die cut, red, stars, ribbon and make it a Christmas card.

#204 7.5.19

I wiped out three of those requirements in one move – a red star die cut. aysi 204 1 (531x640)

Then I added a bit of silver ribbon and a holiday sentiment and was done!  I used my spray adhesive to adhere the star to the card front and it looks a little cobwebby.  LOL. aysi 204 2 (640x453)

Retro Rubber Challenge 114...

It’s a new challenge at Retro Rubber!  We are partnering with the Double Trouble Challenge.  Yay!

RRCB 114

Our theme is Christmas in July so all you have to do for our challenge is to make a Christmas card using at least one stamp older than a year.

The Double Trouble challenge requirements are:

  • Thing 1 – Double Trouble:  Make a square card, scrapbook page, gift box or use squares on your project.
  • Thing 2 – Double Dare:  Use a rubber or acrylic stamp older than one year.
  • Thing 3 – Twisted Sister:  If you create a beach scene with Santa you can earn an extra chance to be in Double Trouble’s random draw.

I stamped a branch and pinecones from my Papertrey Ink peaceful pinecones stamp set that I have had since 2012. rrcb 114 1 (611x640)

Then I diecut a square around my image and backed it with a garden green scalloped square.  I popped the image up on the card base and added the sentiment around the square.  A few pearls finished it off! rrcb 114 2 (640x474)

Be sure to play along with both challenges.  Link up HERE for RRCB and HERE for DTC.
