Repeat After Me For AYSI...

Welcome to a new As You See It challenge!  We have a recipe for you this time.

#228 6.19.20

I started by repeat stamping my tulip in pink.  Then I added some paper scraps from my stash and linen thread to make the bow.

Retro Rubber Challenge 137...

It’s a new challenge at Retro Rubber!  We are partnering with the Double Trouble Challenge so you can play along with both!

RRCB 137

We have a sketch challenge on which you must use at least one stamp older than a year.  The requirements for the Double Trouble Challenge are:

  • Thing 1 – Trouble Maker: 3-2-1 Recipe: 3 colors – 2 embellishments – 1 old stamp
  • Thing 3 – Twisted Sister: Follow our RRCB sketch with at least one angular shape.
  • Thing 2 – Double Dare (Optional): If you used the RRCB sketch and the 3-2-1 Recipe be sure to link your card Double Trouble’s challenge to receive an additional chance to be in Double Trouble’s random draw.

I started with a soft green polka dot panel and added a hexagon shape instead of the triangle.  I used my Rubbernecker Summer Meadow stamps that I have had for several years and colored them using some distress inks.

I added a piece of summer starfruit paper to add a little pop and then added the sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp You Got This – 2017) and embellishments.  I followed our sketch and Thing 1 and 3 for the Double Trouble Challenge.

Movie Time For AYSI...

Welcome to a new As You See It Challenge.  This time around we have a fill in the blank.  One of my favorite movies is Dirty Dancing.

#227 6.5.20

I started with this leaping dancer image and colored in with my pencils.  Don’t let this fool you…this is actually me leaping into Johnny Castle’s waiting arms.  What you won’t see is his immediate collapse from the catch because it is out of the frame.  Lol.

Then I stamped the sentiment, die cut and backed with some mango melody before adhering to the card base and adding some bling.

Retro Rubber Challenge 136...

It’s a new challenge at Retro Rubber and we are all about the summer!

RRCB 136

As I was getting ready to make my card, I noticed a couple of my teamies used flip flops and had the same sentiment so I made it a trio because I couldn’t resist!

I started by chalking a sun on the card base.  Then I die cut the flip flops and sunglasses out of fun colored paper and adhered to the card.

Finally I added the sentiment (from my PTI flipping out stamp set from 2012) and was done.
