Smores For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It is a fun sketch challenge.

#242 1.22.2021

I started by die cutting a wood slice out of crumbcake and chocolate chip.  Then I stamped and die cut the branch and marshmallows which I popped up on the wood slice.  I added a few marshmallows to the slice as well.  Two cooked and one waiting to be cooked!

I stamped and die cut the word s’more and then added to the card base along with the rest of the sentiment.  The best part about camping is the s’mores!

Retro Rubber Challenge 150...

It’s the first challenge of 2021 for Retro Rubber.  It is a winter theme because it’s winter!

RRCB 150

I don’t do a lot of layering on my cards but I went for it this week!  I die cut the geometric pattern in perfect plum and then added a vanilla cream stitched frame.  I used a stitched circle frame from wintery paper to add to all of the layers.

I stamped the winter berries image from Papertrey Ink Beautiful Berries – Winter from 2017 in distress inks in the purple and cream theme.  I die cut the image and popped it up on all of the frames.

Scraps For AYSI...

It’s a new year and a new challenge at As You See It!  Not only did the year start over, but we refreshed our website with a cool new banner and challenge images!  The challenge today is a speed challenge (i.e. 10 minutes) to use your scraps.

#241 1.8.2021

Well, I have lots of scraps and they are organized with my cardstock so I just had to decide on colors and what kind of card I was going to make.  I opted for a thank you card that is going to my lovely aunt.  She recently wrote a memoir and gifted a copy to me.  I was happy I made the short list of her favorites and even happier to read the book!  I learned so much about her life!  She is a vibrant lovely person whom I adore!  Love you Aunt MaryAnn!

I stamped my sentiment and then added some scraps of blue around it.  I die cut the sentiment and then layered on some stripey pops of color.  Easy peasy!  I hope auntie loves my card as much as I love her book!

Time left:  surprisingly 2 seconds.  Honestly, it seemed like it took less time than that!
