Staying Dry For AYSI...
March 25, 2022
It’s a new challenge at As You See It! It’s a speed challenge to stay dry.
When I saw the challenge, I ordered this sweet house mouse stamp to use. I also knew I was going to spend a lot of my time coloring. So I did a bunch of dry runs by stamping and timing myself coloring. I got it down to just over seven minutes for the image. I did that by lining up the markers in order of use and keeping the caps off. (I hope I didn't break the rules by doing that!)
I always keep a ton of white cardstock prepped and ready for card bases. So I grabbed one of those and a stitched circle die cut that I have had in my scrap white paper for some time.
I had a scrap of pattern paper that I used to draw my colors from and just had to adhere and cut off the extra. I looped some twine and added the image. I was just pressing down on the sentiment when the bell rang so I considered that a win. I only timed myself with the coloring so the rest was going to be up to chance and I got lucky enough to get the sentiment on, as I had saved that for last.
This was a fun challenge and really made me think up hacks to get a nice card done in the allotted time.
