Recipe In Pink...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge to use distressed paper, blossoms, pearls, shades of pink and embossing folder.

#293 2.24.23

I started by stamping my branch with pear pizzazz and the wisteria with pink pirouette and pretty in pink.  I added the sentiment and then ran thru my dainty diamonds embossing folder.  I cut the card front down with my deckled edges die.

I also ran a piece of pink pirouette thru the dainty diamond EF and deckled edges.  Then I did something that just about did me in – I crumpled the paper.  Oh man!  My organized pea brain just about couldn’t handle it!  LOL.  But it’s a great way to distress your paper!   I then adhered everything to a card base of pretty in pink, added some pearls and was done!

Those blooms, Jane! They are my favourites! So springy! I miss Pink Pirouette, it's such a soft, pure colour of pink! I can imagine how hard this challenge was for you, but you nailed it!

that's just so pretty, Jane - love the delicate shades of pink!

I knew it! I knew you'd find the distressed bit hard - but a delicate rumpling of that layer looks good. I think Pink Pirouette is one of the nicest pinks we've had, so it's lovely to see it used like this.

I spy my favourite retired pink on this card Jane - I may or may not have a significant stash of it to hand, for just when no other pink will do! It's perfect for your wisteria and I love that your card has a modern, clean and elegant feel whilst still incoporating all the elements - I am still chuckling about your distressed paper comment, I am with you on that one lol!
