Lemony Sunshine For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  The thing I love most about summer is spending time with friends and family and enjoying a nice cold drink!

I dug out my brand new Stampin’ Up! So Refreshing stamp set to make this card.  I stamped the images and then die cut them.  I wanted to use summery colors – yellows for the summer sunshine and purple for summer flowers.

I started with a light lemon lolly gingham background to set the scene.  Then I added a sprig of flowers and the cloth while layering everything else up.  What is your favorite thing about summer?  I look forward to seeing what you create!

Yum, Jane! I'm with you! This pitcher and tall frosty glass are sounding about perfect to me these days, even for Arizona, we're having the worst time of it for heat! This would be just the ticket, lol. Love the purple!

That jug of lemon looks so delicious Jane! Loving the contrast of purple that really makes the lemon yellow pop!

Your images and colours made me think of lavender lemonade, which is supposed to be good for reducing anxiety and treating headaches! The purple and yellow together is already soothing. I love that partial gingham background in yellow, too! Now I need to go and get something refreshing to drink!

Lovely, Jane! The colours are well chosen summery colours and I especially like the light gingham background . Not only does is fill the card with warmth and sunshine but it also makes me think of summer picnics.

Your lemonade looks so inviting Jane - perfect for a catch up with friends! I love the gingham background and the purple table covering too. A beautiful and sunny card that summs up a perfect summer's day!
