Christmas For AYSI...
November 17, 2023
It’s a new challenge at As You See It! It’s a theme challenge to make a Christmas card.
I started by die cutting the grid design in white. I cut a piece of cherry cobbler to go behind the white. But before I adhered them together, I ran the cherry cobbler through my sheet music impression plate. It’s hard to see but you can just see the faint outlines of notes and staff.
I then stamped the small stable and star. I added the sentiment and some rhinestones to finish off the card. Once it was done, I spent considerable time rethinking my color combinations but in the end, I decided to keep them. To be honest, if I was to redo the card, I would have probably swapped out the stable color to cherry cobbler. Hmmm…I guess I may not be as satisfied as I thought? LOL! Don’t you hate it when you start to second guess yourself?

Beautiful, Jane, and I love the colors just how they are! What a subtle card - love the stable and the sentiment especially, AND that emboss behind the grid! Lovely!

I like to boldness of the red peeping through. I so love those dies - they're keepers for me. Then there's the contrast with the quiet stillness of the stable. A lovely card, as always, Jane.

I really love this Jane, especially the red! I think I would have probably c hosen dark blue, but I saw your red and actually thought this was a great festive choice - then I read your post lol! I love that little stable stamp too. Such a great card!

I think the colours are perfect for this, Jane! The royal looking, deep red and the golden yellow! I love the grid with the music score behind it, too - very subtle! Beautiful!
