Apple Blossoms For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank challenge.  The color I use least in my crafting is...flirty flamingo!

#322 4.26.24

Confession:  This card was made for our previous challenge.  As I was making it - I had the thought that I never use flirty flamingo and shame on me because it is a lovely color!  You are probably wondering why I didn't post it for our last challenge...because I broke the rules and used green and two neutrals (white and brown) when you are allowed one neutral and only the four colors in the challenge.  I didn't have time to make another card so I had to sit out the challenge.  However...sometimes mistakes can become a card for the next challenge!

I stamped the apple harvest branch and colored the apples with my calypso coral and flirty flamingo blends.  I used crumbcake and granny apple green for the branch and leaves.

I stamped the sentiment and some flowers that I colored with bubble bath and daffodil delight.  I fussy cut them and added to the card front.  I backed the white front with flirty flamingo then adhered to the calypso coral base.  I ended up making another card with flirty flamingo while I had the cardstock out.  That means I am probably good with this color for awhile.  LOL.

That's just so very pretty Jane! Such a great save from the last challenge!

From the get-go - despite being 'illegal' for the last challenge - I thought this was a fantastic card! It's so pretty: lovely colours, a balanced composition and lots of details like the deckled edges to elevate the whole thing. FF can be quite harsh but you've softened it with the mix of other colours. So glad you found a use for this beauty. :-)

I am so glad you got to use this card Jane - it would have been a crime not to share! What strikes me is how beautifully the pink blossoms compliment the coral of the apples. I never usually pair these 2 colours, but they do work surprisingly well together. Lovely!

I'm so glad you got to use this gorgeous card, Jane! It is such a beauty. Flirty Flamingo can be a tricky colour to use because of it's orange tones, though that's what I like about it!! Anyway, paired with Calypso Coral worked really well here, and no need to worry about the green!
