A Speedy Thanks For AYSI...
June 07, 2024
It’s a new challenge at As You See It! It’s a speed challenge to make a thank you card!
I have a love/hate relationship with speed challenges. I love them when I know exactly what I am going to make and I can get it done in the required time…and I hate them when I know what I am going to make and it takes more than 10 minutes…lol! I had to make this card twice so I was an expert the second time around.
I stamped the image from the long ago retired SU! always thankful stamp set. I love this stamp set because of this one image. I stamped it in wild wheat and ran the card thru my linen impression plate. I stamped the sentiment and went to check the time…and cleared the timer!! Argh! So I started over!
So I repeated the above paragraph, sans clearing the time, snipped the sentiment edges and popped up on the card. I was so proud of myself – I was about 5 minutes in when I decided to add some bling – which cost me a minute and a half trying to unstick the dots and get them on the card! But at 6 minutes and 30 seconds, my card was done!

Your card is a lesson in understated elegance. I love it! Wild Wheat was a great choice. I agree with you that the image itself is gold - a real keeper. You're not only mistress of the CAS card but it turns out also the mistress of the Speed Stamping Challenge. :-)

There's no rule that says you can't have a practice run first, especially when you get such a great product in the end! This card is so beautiful! I'm so glad you took the time for the extra bling because that really adds a lot to the design! With you having such a speedy finish, I'm really feeling like the snail of the team!

This card is CAS perfection Jane - and worth a trial run to get a speedy, yet perfect design! I love it (even with Wild Wheat lol!)

You've got CAS down to a fabulous form of art. I LOVE this image and wish I had it being the retired wheat farmers we are. I don't even remember it so it may be before I knew about SU! I am not very good with speed challenges...I get distracted! LOL!
