Happy Trails For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fun sketch challenge!

#326 6.21.24

I love a great sketch and this one is definitely open to interpretation.  I don’t know that I did it justice but my mind went to camping so I searched out some camping stamps and got started.  I stamped and colored my images before die cutting.

The sentiment snugged up nicely with the car and trailer so that I didn’t have to ruin the clean lines of the Tahitian tide that I added underneath.  Just a nice pop of color all around!

Supplies:  CS: SU! white and Tahitian tide.  Stamps:  Lawn Fawn happy trails.  Dies:  PTI linen plate.  MFT blueprints 20 and mini stitched scalloped rectangles.  Inks:  SU! stampin’ blends – parakeet party, bubble bath, Tahitian tide, lemon lolly, smokey slate and gray granite.

Retro Rubber Challenge 233...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a tic tac toe and I opted for sequins, summer and die cut.

RRCB 233

I started by stamping the shells, bucket and thongs from my Lawn Fawn Life is Good stamp set from 2014.  I colored with my alcohol markers and then die cut.

I die cut the chair from SU! summer splash, adhered to the card base and then filled in the beachy stuff around it.  A quick sentiment and the sequins completed the card.

A Speedy Thanks For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a speed challenge to make a thank you card!

#325 6.7.24

I have a love/hate relationship with speed challenges.  I love them when I know exactly what I am going to make and I can get it done in the required time…and I hate them when I know what I am going to make and it takes more than 10 minutes…lol!  I had to make this card twice so I was an expert the second time around.

I stamped the image from the long ago retired SU! always thankful stamp set.  I love this stamp set because of this one image.  I stamped it in wild wheat and ran the card thru my linen impression plate.  I stamped the sentiment and went to check the time…and cleared the timer!!  Argh!  So I started over!

So I repeated the above paragraph, sans clearing the time, snipped the sentiment edges and popped up on the card.  I was so proud of myself – I was about 5 minutes in when I decided to add some bling – which cost me a minute and a half trying to unstick the dots and get them on the card!  But at 6 minutes and 30 seconds, my card was done!

Retro Rubber Challenge 232...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a fun sketch to try!

RRCB 232

I die cut two stitched triangles out of coordinating paper and then layered according to the sketch.

I stamped the sentiment (Simon Says Stamp Sketchy Banner Greetings from 2013), snipped the edges on an angle and then popped up over the triangles.  I added a bit of bling and was done!  CAS to the max!
