Ink Blending For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  This year, my crafting resolution is more ink blending and coloring!

AYSI 340

I have been watching a lot of crafting videos lately and they have all been about ink blending and coloring.  I usually rely on my colored ink pads but these videos have inspired me to do more with my blending brushes, alcohol markers, colored pencils, watercolor pencils and watercolors.  Let’s hope my resolution holds out!

I went really clean and simple here by die cutting a background, a picket fence and an urn.  I used my inks and blenders to color the fence and urn, leaving the background white.  I did attempt to color the background but just couldn’t get the right color or look.

I popped the fence and urn up on the background and adhered to the kraft base.  I added a simple sentiment and was done.  What is your crafting resolution?

What a great resolution! I love my blending brushes and inks for colouring - so soft and subtle, just like your fence and jug. Love the simplicity of this - it's so calming. Great die for the background splat. You're just so good at CAS and knowing when to stop adding stuff. :-)

This is beautifully CAS Jane and the effect of the blended colouring is so soft and subtle - very artsy. A great example of how less really can be more!

Such a loveky CAS card Jane - I do love a bit of ink blending & your subtle shades are spot on!
